Bio
I'm a photographer not a writer. Became a photographer when I realized I was better behind the camera than in front of it. This is an experiment to see if the beauty of my words will ever live up to the beauty of my photographs. so far the photographs are winning, but I haven't given up yet.

Weeds and Wildflowers

Rate: 6 Flag

They look like weeds to some, mainly anyone who is trying to grow grass.

But who doesn't remember picking a bouquet of dandelions for their mom?

In my case it was violets, my grandmother loved violets, so these are for her.

The word "weed" is such a misnomer at times, yes? When my daughter picks these for me the last thing I'm thinking is "weed". :)
i have been given bouquets of dandelions many times. they are pretty fun to blow seeds from, too.

excellent photos, shutterbug!
My husband gets very upset when people call dandelions weeds. -R-
Love the violets especially.
Sparking: When I first see them in the spring, they look too pretty to be weeds.

Dianaani: I've done that many times!

Christine: I won't repeat what my husband calls them, when they are all over his front lawn.

Annaliese: Even now, I still want to pick a bouquet of violets and bring them in for my grandma.
Love those little violets! ~r
