I'm a photographer not a writer. Became a photographer when I realized I was better behind the camera than in front of it. This is an experiment to see if the beauty of my words will ever live up to the beauty of my photographs. so far the photographs are winning, but I haven't given up yet.

A Frosty Morning

Rate: 10 Flag

After a very long and difficult month I was finally able to get out with my camera once again, but I'm afraid the spectacular fall colors have mostly passed thanks in part to Mother Nature's sick sense of humor. No fair hitting us with snow 2 days before Halloween!

None the less, I braved the chilly temperatures and went for a walk to see what color was left and found that Mother Nature had been painting a different picture.

I got my wish! I am thrilled at Jack Frost's handiwork too.
SB, good to see you again and in such fine form, too.

That frost-tinged red leaf is beautiful.
Diana: Yes, I got out with my camera once again.

Boanerges: Thank you, its good to be back.
Shutterbug, the frost so beautifully outlines the detail in those leaves with an almost magical quality. Your photos are stunning and simply perfect. They are magical too.

I'm hoping the road ahead is much smoother. Take care.

Love and best wishes.
Love nature and the incredible signs of the changing seasons. You captured this beauty perfectly!
Absolutely gorgeous. I especially loved the first picture, the contrast of warm and cool colors. Thank you for sharing these beautiful images.
Kate: Thank you, thank you :). Your comments are always so sweet.

Cathy: Yes, the seasons are changing (a bit faster than I would like) but you can't fight Mother Nature or Father Time. Thanks for stopping by.

Alysa: You are very welcome!
Beautiful work ~R~
This is a gorgeous post!
Lovely! Having gotten slammed in this storm where we live too (still no power) it's heartwarming to see such that such a beautiful visual display exists amidst all the damage and inconvenience. Thank you!
M. C. : Thanks so much!

Scarlett: So glad you like it.

Annie: Thanks for commenting, I don't envy you. If this is a sign of things to come, we're all in for a long winter.
These are magnificent!!!! The first and third, with just the edges of the leaves frosted--like candies expertly dusted with confectioner's sugar by a master chef. Oh, my!

I'm also guessing that you took many, many more pictures. I'm impressed by your restraint in limiting those shown to these. But, then, each of these is a masterpiece.
Pilgrim: You always know the right thing to say. I will admit there were other photos from that morning but in my mind these stood out, glad you agreed.
