Bio
I'm a photographer not a writer. Became a photographer when I realized I was better behind the camera than in front of it. This is an experiment to see if the beauty of my words will ever live up to the beauty of my photographs. so far the photographs are winning, but I haven't given up yet.

Eyes on the Sky from Days Gone By -2nd Gallery Challenge

Rate: 8 Flag

For as long as I've owned a camera I've been pointing it skyward. When Stathi announced this challenge certain images immediately came to mind.

May01c  Sunrise on the Chesapeake Bay with my husband on our 1st anniversary.

sunriseDC Sunrise at the Washington Monumet, probably the only time I was in DC at that time of day.

A blue twilight in St. Mary's county, MD. A place near & dear to my heart.             moon

PineLake fallskAutumn colors against a grey sky on Pine Lake near my home. I didn't see the circle of light when I shot the photo.

I've posted this before, but I think it should be included again. My only trip to NYC in 1998, I had no idea how symbolic this would be.

Shutterbag, this gave me so feelings, starting from the sunset with your husband which is full of romance, to the so symbolic, and overfeeling image of NY, and from the autumn colours to the twilight I had never seen, and to the Washington monument, this is trully a strong work, with beautiful, symbolic images, full of feelings. So many, many thank you for this!!

beautiful, especially loved the blue twilight shot - my favourite time and colors.
I loved the spiky outline of the trees - that's really gorgeous. Please come back to NYC. The skyline has changed a bit since you were here though.
Stathi: This was harder than I expected it to be, I have so many photos of sunrises, clouds, sunsets but these images truly have meaning for me.

M.C.S.: Thank you, I remember being disappointed that the sky was gray that day, but it has become one of my favorite images from that trip.

Maria: Its my favorite time as well, thanks for commenting.

nilesite: I would love to come back to NYC again sometime, only spent 1 day there on my last trip.
Isn't it amazing that watching the sky never gets old and is truly a commonality among all peoples.
Your skies, a romance to look at. Just beautiful!
