Once upon a time the sun was about to take himself a wife. The frogs in terror all raised their voices to the skies, and to Jupiter, who was disturbed by the noise and asked them what was the matter. They replied, "The sun is bad enough, drying up our marshes in the summer-time with his heat, but what will become of us if he marries and has other suns as children?" So Jupiter prevented the sun from marrying, and all was at peace once more.
