- Bio
- Battling through life with 2 kids through the ups and downs of being over educated, under employed, overwhelmed and under appreciated. I’ll blog about everything, so I’ll just stay anonymous thank you. I loved writing growing up, find it quite therapeautic, and have more past lives than one could ever imagine, so I should have enough to keep me blogging while I’m gainfully underemployed and slacking!

I got a call Sunday afternoon, one that I’m accustomed to getting. It was my grandfather – who really is more like my father. He’d raised me off and on through childhood & some turbulent teenage years. I could always fall back on him, and now… it seems t… Read full post »
Workplace Hell
I'm sure there are plenty of others who have it worse, and plenty more who would rather the job from hell than no job at all.
But - it doesn't stop me from creating a spur of the moment list of some of the many reasons I hate my job. … Read full post »
Once upon a time I was psychotic (and didn't even know it)
I woke up, startled, sweating. "Woke" might be exaggerated... it was really more like the hazy middle ground between "sleep" and "wake"... the land of in between, where you're still partly dreaming, yet still partly aware of the world around you & they melt into a mystical inbetween world.&… Read full post »
Note to all soon to be brides:
I’m so glad this is anonymous, because really, this is the monkey that’s been on my back for some time. I can’t really say this in real life, as much as I desperately want to. I would face a sort of professional persecution, if I can call it that.
So I find it ruthless and cruel that I be thrust into the midst of the ADD battle/debate/fiasco. After all, I was one of “ those” parents. I chastised, berated, and belittled parents who “doped their kids up” on ADD meds. Not to their face of course, but unde… Read full post »
My past life, chapter 1 – On a bus to nowhere
A recent post about someone’s rehab as a Rx drug addict inspired me to write about my ‘past life’ growing up as the child of a mother as she strayed off the beaten path and onto the road of addiction. My first story is about the night my mother abandoned me… Read full post »
A recession… or a return to the way things ought to be?
I’ve spent the past few days, like many of the last few weeks, listening and reading to the news, inundated with stories of an economic recession. We’ve been impacted as well, though not as significantly as some, yet the feeling is similar to that feeling you get when you’re j… Read full post »
Ma’am… just medicate that kid already so he can be “normal”
Each and every morning I fire up my computer, and skim the news headlines as I begin the tedious job of working my fingers to the bone, spitting out code, debugging problems, errors, and generally… driving myself batty. The headlines these days are mostly all the same: doom, gloom,… Read full post »
In the beginning... I quit my job
So I find it ironic that I first stumbled upon “Open Salon” not so long ago when the front page of Salon.com featured an Open Salon post titled something along the lines of “I stopped showing up to work”. And here I sit today with my first post being the morning… Read full post »
