Regina sat on a park bench and watched the autumn leaves fall from the trees. Yellow, orange, green, and red blanketed the grass and cement which made the landscape a little more beautiful. On a bench next to her sat Mickey feeding the pigeons with some bread from a leftover sandwich. He introduced himself from a few feet way as he said hello and good afternoon. They got along that day and decided to meet again at the same park the following Saturday morning. Music, food, humor, and many other things were found in common as they started to date each other. She read one of his books as he was a writer and quickly became a favorite fan of his. There was a short story in one of his books titled "And Watched The Autumn Leaves Fall". It was one he had wrote quite a few years ago but it had both of their names in it as the fiction now seemed to be real. She opened the book and read it to him as events and circumstances were playing itself out now in reality. The last line of the story was exactly how it ended the following October. There was a live band and over 250 guests at their outdoor wedding in a park where they first met. Everybody got up and danced to the first slow song which the bride and groom danced to also. Regina and Mickey kissed and hugged as the autumn leaves fell from the trees and decorated the wedding landscape with its beautiful colors of yellow, orange, green, and red. The unexpected happens sometimes in a place where we least expect it. Some twenty years later their teenage daughter and son sat in the same park. On the opposite bench was another boy and girl who introduced themselves. Many things in common were discovered as the dating began and watched the autumn leaves fall...
