Two Egg Rolls And Pork Fried Rice...by Michael

Rate: 0 Flag
Reginald stopped off every Friday after work to a take out Chinese food. The scent from the paper bag he carried on the train made him even more hungrier than he was before. All he had to do was zap it in the microwave for less than a minute. The two egg rolls and pork fried rice was just perfect as he sat it on the snack table in front of him. One packet of mustard was added and spread evenly after he had turned on the T V. The cute oriental girl who took his order every Friday had it already prepared for him as he would be there the same time. One night a strange coincidence happened or maybe it was fate. Instead of stopping at the take out, he decided to go to a Chinese restaurant in the city before going home. That particular evening Suzie Wong had the night off. She sat at a table not too far away from his and ordered her dinner. Both were served at the same time as each smiled at their plate of two egg rolls and pork fried rice. She noticed him there and the same dish that was served to her. Suzie shouted "hello Reginald" from not too far away. He turned and smiled at the familiar face as he got up and sat across from her. "Same dish huh?" They both laughed out loud as he then joined her for desert. This led to a dating relationship and after six months he proposed to her. American plus Chinese food was served at their wedding since the guests were mixed. Their story of how they met and how they got here was told by the bride. A stand up applause echoed through the hall. The cover of their wedding album showed a couple with a fork ready to dig into two egg rolls and pork fried rice. Maybe we take out more than the usual fast food on a Friday night. Same tastes and an unusual meeting happens sometimes. Case in point in a short love story for Reginald and Suzie concerning two egg rolls and pork fried rice....
