Bio
Work in technology sector on the sales and distribution side as a Senior Level Manager. Spent the last 18 years managing across different industries which has resulted in more knowledge than I care to keep. I have a fascination with business and love to read about leadership and how to apply when called upon. Love politics yet dislike politicians, think Fox is not fair and balanced, yet CNN sucks worms, so I channel surf on the radio on the way to work trying to make sense of all the prevalent chutzpah that the world seems to ooze. Still play rugby and enjoy the challenge of making a great Caldereta de Cordero.

My Gluten Free Life

Returning after a couple of years off of here. Tonight I attempted to bake my first home made gluten free bread with the help of a machine. I must state that it could have gone better. I messed up some measures and also, the mixing did not go as well as… Read full post »

When one reads the news it is obvious that there are forces at play that are much more powerful than I would have imagined as a child. The battles fought in the military arena hardly touch the wild web that some weave. Here in the USA I start to hear the… Read full post »

Acupuncture Works!

I injured my leg in 2004 playing rugby. After a series of evaluations by medical doctors (orthopedic surgeons) and sessions with physical therapists my knee would invariably "come loose". I would do weight lifting and tried coming back… Read full post »

Michael Moss' article was originally entitled: "Woman's Shattered Life Shows Ground Beef Inspection Flaws"

Now it was changed to "E.Coli Path Shows Flaws in  Beef Inspection"

A friend of mine shared the article on Facebook and went into a rant on how the author was ignorant and using "Shatt… Read full post »

Why Citgo Should be Boycotted

El Salvaje de Chavez (Chavez the Savage)

Looking for a chance to invade Colombia (legally, since he already has exported weapons for the FARC terrorists to use), Chavez adduces a provocation as Colombia heightens US presence in its battle against drug trafficking.

With odd bed-fellow Vla… Read full post »

My son has finally taken his first steps. No thanks to the AMA grounded practitioners we used on the way, but it does give you food for thought on what needs to be fixed and why our system of choice will fail if we do not do anything about accountability in… Read full post »

I am proud of NOT pretending I was never an American when travelling abroad. When people asked me, I was forthright and very few were rude to me - more than anything curious to know what it was like to live here. I love the fact that I live where Freedom… Read full post »

Zelaya and the OAS Folly

Zelaya has vowed to return tomorrow to Honduras to recover his throne. What he is asking for is to be arrested. The Honduran Armed Forces acted in accordance with their Constitution before Zelaya (an ally of Chavez and Noriega) changed it to minimize their powers. While many may try to look… Read full post »

Iran's plight illustrates a trend

IRANIAN PLIGHT similar to that of Nicaragua, Ecuador and Venezuela. Mock elections are held, observers expelled and accused of interfering, tampering, etc.Seems as if a template has been set.

So the latest news is that a British think tank has determined that fraud was perpetrated. So?  With ab… Read full post »

The election results in Iran are no surprise. The Chavez ally has adopted the same technology (actually his was superior given the jamming of text messaging ahead of the elections).

Do not expect this man to step down thanks to protests - unless the Iranians are more committed to tumblig… Read full post »

Chavez is a cancer that must be erradicated from Venezuela

The talking heads at Fox piss me off. On one side they wax indignant of something might attempt to pierce of the veil of National Security, however on the other side they rail on about alternative fuel, green energy and other things as useless, ineffective... Somehow they seem to know that… Read full post »

What's in A Handshake?

There is a saying in Spanish: "Lo cortés no quita lo valiente" - Courtesy does not detract from valour... President Obama did the right thing in shaking douchebag Chavez' hand. He was repaid with a gift of a book that basically accuses the USA of all kinds of atrocities while the… Read full post »

Mass Pike Authority Needs to Go

 Turnpike Woes Multiply

A soppy report gave toll takers the benefit of the doubt as people whizzed by or proferred insults at them. In NY on the Thruway one is greeted with a cheery "Good Morning" as you pull on to I-90 in Syracuse, yet here I get the eye. I proceeded to… Read full post »

Intellectual's Double Standard

A Synagogue was attacked and raided after Dictator Hugo Chavez' speech railing against the Jewish Community of Venezuela.
