Time Travel Theory...101

Rate: 25 Flag

This is my personal theory on time travel gleaned from a variety of historical events and legends. Although this is just speculative theory on my part, it still has some good points and is based on a number of solid ideas that are written about and discussed by many who are interested in this phenomena.

the most fascinating aspect of it is... that  placing oneself in an enclosed area of rock has been a technique for furthering ones knowledge since recorded time and more. This is where the ancient Greek iatromantis gained his ability to bridge time and space according to Peter Kingsley in his book "in The dark places of Knowledge"

Hope you enjoy this and remember that to have success doing this one must initiate a sound frequency at the right moment, in the right place. when this phenomena occurs. Hope you enjoy this and remember, there is no time like the present.

Time Travel Punnies.

"I can't wait to see Back To The Future 4. It was pretty good!" - Peter Serafinowicz

"Man, I'm hungry. I haven't eaten since later this afternoon." - Aaron from Primer

Time Travelers Unite! Yesterday!

The Association of Time-Travellers has postponed this weeks meeting to yesterday"

There once was a lady named Bright
Who traveled much faster than light
She departed one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night

Please help me, Doctor, I keep seeing into the future!"
"Ah. And when did this start?"
Next Tuesday afternoon."

"Who's there?"
"The Time Traveller"
"The Time Traveller who?"

*Knock, knock*

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

"What do we want?"
"Time travel!"
"When do we want it?"
"Relatively speaking, now!"

Time travels when you chuck a watch.

If you have any questions or have a good time travel pun or joke please write it here.
Question: Your "farewell post" v. this post. Is it an experiment in time travel? ;)

Enjoyed the puns.
Hmmm Algis. This post made it just dawn on me that the "no time like the present" expression is basically the same as the "you can't step into the same river twice" one. I expect two or three billion people must have beat me to that conclusion. Still, if you'll accept the convention time reference, better late than never.
(swear to god i had to post this twice the first time got zapped, even my rating didn't stick....)

Gonna have this one framed:

There once was a lady named Bright
Who traveled much faster than light
She departed one day
In a relative way And returned on the previous night

: D
V. Corso, Yes indeed lets hope that it is timely too! Thanks for stopping by and more!

Abrawang That is so good, remind me never to try that. Yes indeed better late than never. Thanks A!

Kate O'hehir, OMG that is so timely. Thanks again so glad you enjoyed. Thanks KOH!
Aren't the mouths of caves where the good mushrooms sprout? Been awhile since I rode a 'shroom around the continua. Afraid if I did it now I might not wanna come back.
Time like distance and proportion are tricks of perception, snares.

Isaiah 28:13: “But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.”

I envy you Algis. To spend this time wandering through mans memory's, to explore the forgotten corridors of the collective unconscious.

Jim Carroll, Wicked Gravity:

“The gravity here is just sick for revenge
It's like my lungs are filled with chains . . .
The sky seems so low,
It hasn't moved this slow
Since the virgins, since the virgins went dancing for the rain

You know the stars in the night
They're like the holes in the cave
Like the ceiling of a bombed-out church
But gravity blocks my screams
It's like an enemy's dreams
My guardians quit
They quit before they started their search”

Remember the curse of Pythagoras Algis: when you go far enough you can never turn back. To do so is an invitation for the Demons and Fury's to rip your soul to shreds.

Steppenwolf (the band not the book by the pseudointellectual), Ride with me:

“Mama's home philosophy
Makes everyone a freak but me
Though I'm starvin' in the streets
And can't predict the future
Can I have my vision back?
I'll live outside your city walls
You don't have to be afraid
Until I come together

Ride with me Baby
'Til the end of the day”
Time travel began when I quit wearing a watch... figure that???
Really enjoyed reading this. Makes me want to travel to wherever this was filmed. Thanks for a pleasant journey.
Makes me ready to go Back to the Future or Back to the Past. Great story. And photos.
I'd like to travel back just far enough, so that the next time I hear "Don't you wish you could have bought IBM at $10/share, I can say 'I did.'"
By all means, let's have the time travelers unite - yesterday. But what if one is a habitual procrastinator? Can you still put off until tomorrow what you could have done last week?

-R-
"Today is yesterday all over again"! Do-do-do Do-do-do! R
Time travel rocks!
My favorite is "Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana." I'm still laughing. :)
Loved your time travel theory
rated with love
I loved this. "The Time Traveler's Wife" is a favorite book and movie of mine. Also Milarepa was a Tibetian monk who gained enlightenment in a cave. And I have heard that a spirit can get caught inside rock and has to spend lots of time getting free where the wind, water and plant spirits get to transform easily and more frequently. A circle of rocks has been healing and magic to me. I have always said that rocks are alive and I think you feel they are too. Thank you for this video.
This is a really beautiful, Algis and Byron...the stones and white flowers and green grasses are so peaceful. The idea of time travel is fascinating...maybe the closest I get is when I'm sleeping...sometimes, rarely, in my dreams I get to talk with my grandparents or others who are gone. Where did you disappear to at the end of the film? :)
time travel is Memory.
built into us, oddly...someday they will synthesize the right
neurotransmitters and let us experience the good old days right
here & now, which we already do, sort of..

i remember my Father.

My mother.

Some images come around, according to my mood.

"to have success doing this one must initiate a sound frequency at the right moment, " really?

i hope people dont see this as a "command", rather than
a spontaneous gesture of the mind.............
algis, I surely needed this today. thank you for the wonderful journey!
Chicken Mãâàn, I suppose that is a good guess and the resuts of that guess might have some place in this theory as well.I hear you and thanks for that CM!
Jack Heart, Those are really fine quotes to add to this post and I am so glad you did. I will have to read Steppngwolf again and thanks for that reminder too JH!

Jmac1949, Very clever and I guess that works too! Thanks JM!

Ande Bliss Yes this part of the world is absolutely loaded with great ancient places to visit and ponder...You would never regret coming here. Thanks AB!

Mary Stanik Thanks so much MS, Back to the future is possible but back to the past is enormously difficult. But who knows….?

Stim yes that would be a good thing indeed. If I was to be able to travel in either direction I would go back to 1960 myself and reivent the frisby and hoola hoop for starts. Thanks S!

L. E. Merithew Excellent point LEM!

Marilyn Sands, Can I dance to that too? Thanks MS!

Mhold Now that statement rocks...thanks MH!

Midwest Muse, Great I like that one myself too. Thanks MM!

RomanticPoetess, Oh great I made the RP love something of mine again. Thanks RP!
Zanelle Oh great now I want to read that book too. I guess we are kindered spirits and thats so cool. Thanks Z!

clay ball, Only the shadow knows where I disappeared to there. Thanks so much CB!

SheilaTGTG55, So glad you enjoyed that S! THX!

James M. Emmerling, yes the memories of those gone by is certainly cherished time travel through thought and love. The sound frequency is just a suggestion on how you get this thing to work. I cannot imagine any other way...Thanks JEM!

Poppi Iceland So glad to have made your day. Hope your fine out there? I bet springtime in Iceland must be something quite special? Thanks PI!

One of my impossible dreams would be to time travel although being sculpted wouldn’t cut it for me — I’d need to participate. And your blue shirt shows up well on the video!
VariousArtists, if you could time travel what direction would you go in? The blue shirt is also from my movie Mimetoliths made about 5 years ago. Thanks VA!
I enjoyed your post. I may never be in the places in Turkey where this was filmed- so watching it was like "traveling" as well. The special effects enhance the film. It is a shame that some of the ancient libraries were burned and all the knowledge and philosophies of a society were lost forever.
I am trying my best to manage the present but am fascinated by what you've presented here. Sorry, no jokes from me but I love the ones you've shared. R
tai, Yes those burned books would be so worth their weight in gold now. thanks so much T!

Rita Bourland Thats OK when you think of one or hear one please post it here. Thanks RB!
