The Widowmaker Wiki, Part II

Rate: 0 Flag

Well, I did it.  After weeks of avoiding the Widowmaker Wiki, I finally sucked it up and looked at it.  Why?  Because of the two interviews I had, I haven't yet heard from either of them and it's fully nearly two months post-MLA.

One of the schools had said they would let me know the week of 24 January.  Didn't hear from them.  By tonight, I had given up entirely.  And I was right to do so.  The Widowmaker Wiki informed me that they had contacted someone for a flyback the sometime around 17 January.  So that's out.  And I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that I don't have to think about it anymore.

There was no disappointment this time.  Just relief.

And my relief was doubled when I saw that the other university with which I interviewed hadn't contacted anyone yet.  They told me at the interview that they would not be getting back to me until February or March.  Of course, I didn't really believe them. I figured they would contact the people that they really wanted to see well before said projected date.  But they're remaining true to their word and they haven't contacted a soul.

My relief was tripled when I saw that no one has posted anything about the school with whom I have a phone interview tomorrow.  I'm hoping that means I'm on a very, very short list.

A very short list.

Like ONE.
