This did remind me of Hidden Mask 1, by Halim Alkarim.
Despite the hazy veiling of images, not to mention the veiling garments, the Iraqi artist shines with intensity. His exhibition "The Witness Archive," 20- years in the making, explores exile and oppression.-
Halim Aikarim fled the Army. He was a Iraqi soldier. The exhibit was at the Robischon Gallery in Denver. I didn't see the exhibit. I read about it.
