(Bad Moon Rising...)
Has anyone else noticed that time is speeding up? That karma is becoming (as John Lennon prophesized) "Instant"? (Anyone remember Instant Karma? "Instant Karma's Gonna Get You...?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqP3wT5lpa4. BTW: On the "B" side of this little 45 was Yoko Ono's stunningly off-kilter "Who Has Seen The Wind", sung in her now infamous hypnotic, breathless whine... - I'd post the link but Yoko appears to have had it yanked off youtube due to "use violation rights").
A couple of weeks ago, my friend, who works at the Main Library in San Francisco, had to evacuate the building TWICE due to bomb threats. During one evacuation she stayed behind with a disabled person in a wheelchair who couldn't exit because the elevators were off limits, believing this to be the humane and caring and appropriate thing to do, and was advised later by her employer she is required to leave the building and just leave disabled people there...HUH?

People drive too fast, tail-gate, and honk in an indignant, aggressive fashion if you slow down to turn into a gas station, as if one should never slow down...
I notice a sense of increased "urgency" and agitation in and near Urban environments, and less friendly connections, less eye contact, less casual conversation, less community.

This is why I am moving to a small, rural community near the beach. It just feels better over there, out of the way of....Well, just out of the way.
And that seems to be what a lot of people want these days. For other people to JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY.

I have spent my entire life trying to speed up,
to catch up with other people... it caused me untold
mental distress...until recently...when I finally hit the speed of light,
where Time stands still...
and finally I can relax.
Here's wishing you the same.

Angie, does your friend have a wife/husband? Does he/she have children. The variables go on and on...
What a (potentially) agonising decision to leave a person to die alone or remain with them so you may (potentially) die together.
I am afraid after I have exhausted all possible options, I would choose to leave for the sake of my family.
What would you do?
their expecting us nice normal healthy people
to always be kow-towing to them...
y'know, they claim to be able to
handle real life just like us
non-disabled people, but
yet always expect us to
help them...like I
should risk MY
life if they are
stupid enough
to be caught
in a library
that's
about
to
go
BOOM!
(Actually, i probably WOULD save the little crybaby
just so i could get some good publicity...
i would say to the camera,
"oh, i'm no hero..i just did
what anyone would do..etc)
say! maybe i should phone in a bomb threat to
get the opportunity...hm
thanks for the idea, A!
in your way now?
people in your busines? Or do you maintain a disance?
What are you distancing yrself from?
Are you trying to find time to think?
If so , make me a poem.
if i posted it on my site, it would gain multitudes of praise..
alas it is on yr site...
"your relocation is a mortification,
a clean break from the previous ..beyond where you are
lies nothing but the mountains of the past.
Where you are now is visited
by the ghosts of your former life.
Study them. Write them. Rewrite them"

Accuracy is my talent.
.the speed of our machines...
it is now a magnet of performance
for our poor
neurological system...
we're up to it..but what disorients us
is the insufficiency of what our brain
cells are asked to transmit...economic data, "work":
competitive games with time limits...
the whole system
about to destroy it self,
thank goodness..
