Pilgrimage to Pastrami! The awesome Manny's Deli --  slight detour off of Roosevelt Rd. Should have shown this one first since I came here directly from the appointment. Been going here since I was a little kid and it was in the vicinity of the great Maxwell Street market. Still delicious -- but now insanely expensive! 1 pastrami sandwich, 2 potato pancakes and coleslaw to go -  over $17.00!!!!!!!!!!!! At least I brought it home to split with my son -- so we're talking about $8.50 a person.

 Back to Roosevelt Road. Mountain Foods has it all! You probably can't see the signage very well,  (my shitty camera) but here is what they sell: "car supplies, phone chargers, antifreeze, windhshield wiper solution, cat and dog food, bathroom items, warehouse, school and party supply, gifts, shower supplies, beauty supply, 100% human hair, hair gel-hair braids, panty hose, ice, pop, full line of groceries, frozen food, lunch meat,   energy drink, cigarettes." And a list of rules that starts with NO LOITERING.....

 Finally, a quieter stretch of West Roosevelt Rd.....

....leads to the Cicero, Illlinois water tower...viewed through the sun's blinding reflection in the car window.....
