Felt pen Drawing by Joni Mitchell
After having seen the announcement that Bob Dylan was showing his paintings in Germany, I was reminded of some of the other musicians and philosophers that also had a talent for visual art:

Grace Slick with one of her paintings
Karol Jozef Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II) poetry:
Song of the Brightness of Water
From the depth—I came only to draw water
in a jug—so long ago, this brightness
still clings to my eyes—the perception I found,
and so much empty space, my own,
reflected in the well.Yet it is good. I can never take all of you
into me. Stay then as mirror in the well.

brings them down
to my eyes transfixed more by light
than by sorrow.

And since it was the article about Bob Dylan that triggered this post, here's one of his:

Just for fun, to see another facet of these famous people.
And given that this is week 3 with good reports from the trenches, much rest and a retreat for next weekend. Pat was losing his hair by the handful so shaved his head today. I thought it would take longer for him to lose it, but he's always been a wonderful abstract work of art to me.

Michael is blessed in more ways than I can count—art, music, programming, film, and just all-round bricolage. But that’s due in part to his Asperger’s, which doles out its own set of curses, as well.
Thanks for continuing to report on Pat’s journey.
Wishing you both a blessed Sunday,
Melissa
