Psalm 22

In times of being tested
it may seem like God
has abandoned you.
Don't despair there's one who cares.
Jesus after being baptized
and full of the Holy Spirit*,
went into the desert.
He fasted for 40 days.
He was tempted to turn
a stone into bread.

Are you hungry?
Feast on the bread of life.**
He was tempted to turn from heaven
to the riches of the world.
The Son knew his Father had it all
and gave it to Him;
that he would lose nothing.***
Are you thirsty?
Drink from the living water.****

In the desert
Jesus consumed nothing.
He was able to preserve the fullness
of Heaven.
For you.
Though it seems like you're
wasting away on the outside,
you're gaining eternal glory on the inside.*****
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name.
I pray that, according to the riches of his glory,
he may grant that you may be strengthened
in your inner being with power through his Spirit,
and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,
as you are being rooted and grounded in love.
I pray that you may have the power to comprehend,
with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who by the power at work within us
is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-20

*John 1: 32.And John testified, "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.33.I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me, "He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'34.And I myself have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God."
Luke 3: 21.Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened,22.and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased."
**John 6 31.Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, "He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' "32.Then Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.33.For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."34.They said to him, "Sir, give us this bread always."35.Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
***Luke 4: 1.Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,2.where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished.3.The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become a loaf of bread."4.Jesus answered him, "It is written, "One does not live by bread alone.' "5.Then the devil led him up and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.6.And the devil said to him, "To you I will give their glory and all this authority; for it has been given over to me, and I give it to anyone I please.7.If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours."8.Jesus answered him, "It is written, "Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.' "9.Then the devil took him to Jerusalem, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple, saying to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here,10.for it is written, "He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you,'11.and "On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.' "12.Jesus answered him, "It is said, "Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "13.When the devil had finished every test, he departed from him until an opportune time.14.Then Jesus, filled with the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding country.
****John 7: 37.On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me,38.and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, "Out of the believer's heart shall flow rivers of living water.' "39.Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive; for as yet there was no Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
*****2 Corinthians 4: 15.Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.16.So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.17.For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure,18.because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.

WalkAwayHappy- I hope people who read my psalms do walk away happier
Greatfullheart-Actually this painting is called "After the manna; manifestation of the quail". It has to do when the manna that came down from heaven --a miracle perfect food to feed God's people in the desert but then they started complaining that they wanted more. So then quail appeared. So it's about not being grateful i.e greedy, because even though the were told to only take what they need (it had a short shelf life) people were hording, and it was getting rotten. I also made the manna gold to have a double meaning to look like gold or money. The great thing about art is it speaks a 1000 words and everybody can see different things. There is no right answer. So feeding the birds is good too.
With love in Him,
