Bio
This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Now I'm focusing on going back to college in my 50's and discovering a new path to direct my art--which is art therapy. _________________________________________ All of the artwork I created unless otherwise noted. And the truth will make you free

Psalm 71

organized religion

But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.

Tell the elder men to be temperate, serious, prudent,

sound in faith, love and in endurance.*

Children are watching

What are you teaching?

Jesus said,

“If you continue in my word, and

are truly my disciples;

you will know the truth,

and the truth will make you free.**

Murmuring continued. Disbelief.

Lack of understanding.

Arrogance of bloodline.

Jesus said,

“I know you are descendants of Abraham,

yet you look for an

opportunity to kill me,

because there is not a place in you for my word...”

“..If God were your father,

you would love me,

for I came from God and now I am here.”

I came from God

and now I am here

her

here

It echos the song of fish

and birds and fish,

flora and fauna

insects and people.

We came from God.

As the prophet Isaiah said,

“Whom will he teach knowledge

and whom will he explain the message?

Those whom are weaned from the milk and

are taken from the breast?”***

I say maybe it is to the breast we must return.

Titus said,

“Older women teach what is good,

so they may encourage the young women ..

..so that the word of God not be discredited.****

Precept after precept

line upon line

The priest and the prophet

reel with strong drink

they are confused

they err in vision

they stumble in giving judgement.*****

Precept after precnt

line upon line , here a little there a little,

in order that they may go backward and fall.

Oh Lord Jesus Christ

If we must reutrn to infancy to be open to the

truth of your ways

Make it so.

For to build on the kingdom of death

kills you;

the proclaimer of love

over and over and over again.

BE BORN OH INFANT CHILD

COVERED IN LIQUID INNOCENCE

STRAIGHT FROM THE WOMB OF GOD!

BE BORN

RIGHTEOUS HOPE

MASTER OF GOODNESS

PROCLAIMER OF SANITY

TAKE HOLD

OF THIS WHAT IS LEFT

REMOVE THE SPIRIT OF IGNORANCE!

EYES TO SEE!

EARS TO HEAR!

THE TRUTH WILL MAKE US FREE!

*/****Titus 2:1 But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine. 2 Tell the older men to be temperate, serious, prudent, and sound in faith, in love, and in endurance. 3 Likewise, tell the older women to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to drink; they are to teach what is good, 4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be self-controlled, chaste, good managers of the household, kind, being submissive to their husbands, so that the word of God may not be discredited.

** John 8:31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." 33 They answered him, "We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean by saying, "You will be made free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not have a permanent place in the household; the son has a place there forever. 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are descendants of Abraham; yet you look for an opportunity to kill me, because there is no place in you for my word. 38 I declare what I have seen in the Father's presence; as for you, you should do what you have heard from the Father." 39 They answered him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing what Abraham did, 40 but now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. 41 You are indeed doing what your father does." They said to him, "We are not illegitimate children; we have one father, God himself." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now I am here. I did not come on my own, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot accept my word.

***/*****Isaiah 28: 5 In that day the Lord of hosts will be a garland of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people; 6 and a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. 7 These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are confused with wine, they stagger with strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in giving judgment. 8 All tables are covered with filthy vomit; no place is clean. 9 "Whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from milk, those taken from the breast? 10 For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little." 11 Truly, with stammering lip and with alien tongue he will speak to this people, 12 to whom he has said, "This is rest; give rest to the weary; and this is repose"; yet they would not hear. 13 Therefore the word of the Lord will be to them, "Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little;" in order that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Heavy I know but it had to be said....Promise next one will be happier. Or go to comfortcafe.
I so want the truth to set us free, but this has been a hard week with hard words offered by those who push the Church away from me. I think at times like these, we can only look within and listen to our hearts and find the truths that will set us free. I have thoughts floating in my head about this but have not yet found clarity. Sometimes words have to be what they are because that is all there is. Thinking of you.
anna1liese: I've struggled myself, particularly because this isn't the first time that I have been disappointed in the church. That doesn't mean that all is lost. Or that my faith is the least bit shaken. We all are weak and lose are way sometimes. But I just didn't feel I could leave anything unsaid, I wouldn't be honest. This is the struggle in grappling with our own faith, relying in God , and not in others. We can support them, but we also have to hold them accountable. This is a combo of frustration between the BP fiasco, and the church. To me it is a broader wake-up call that is a universal blindness, that if we are to go to the next level of evolution, as it were, if we are to grow as a people, we have to take a good hard look spiritually.
Anne, It takes courage to walk into the storm and face what is there rather than run away and say nothing. I feel as though I have long had answers in my heart if only I can find the words to set them free, at least, to me.
you're a good woman Anne.
anna1liese: I bet you have more words than you think. You are always very eloquent. It's just not a very pleasant thing to write about. I got the scripture days ago, before the news hit. When it did, I had to write the first piece before I could get the next one out, where there was a little resolution for me to see a way to bring this back to a prayer that would put positive energy into the universe. An attempt to turn rage into passion with purpose. Maybe the next one will be better yet. I hope so.

Monkey, (I don't ever like to put the "foolish" part of your name in there, because you're far from that) I don't know if I'm good, I just can't help they way I feel it is so deep in me and my love for God is so real, that I can't imagine if a person felt the way I felt that they would do any of the things that they do. It hurts so much....
Anne, Thanks for your Sunday energy. The story-line is old, yet so true. The older I get, the more sadness I feel because of what you’ve described. The dishonesty, trickery, and decadence are so pervasive that your appeal to starting over is so truthful. We have fallen so far away from the structure and organization that God has given all creatures, that you wonder if the “Proclaimer of Sanity” has a chance...

I’m in agreement with you about BP, and I’m also quite concerned about the WAR in the middle east and the fraudulent science supporting global warming. Everywhere you look, you see hardcore dishonesty spewed out by the administration and world governments. So YES, let’s start over. Let’s somehow return to the innocence of old and let something special happen again...
monkey is good, sweetie. don't fret. what is, is. I know that sounds simplistic but consider this: your love for Christ is yours, personal, it has very little to do with the church.

the church is the catalyst, the means by which you find communion. you might consider any other sect that offers you communion with Christ. and by communion I mean community - a community that gives you peace and hope if this one is causing you pain. the catholic church is a corrupt patriarchy. they can't help themselves. they love power too much. and we know... absolutely power corrupts absolutely.

my heart to you.
Thanks Max for your intelligent and true words!

Monkey: It isn't just the catholic church, many organized places with power tend to get to complicated with themselves and lose their way. I'm not sure what I'm going to do maybe start my own!
The truth will make us free. Rock on with your bad self, Anne. loving it.
Caroline: I know dat's right! emmm hmmm!
Hi, Anne! Yes, we Live in the time of the rebirth of the Divine Feminine! (Especially in the Western world!) It shows us the way... And yes to starting our own! Each of us, from within! A temple of the heart, with Love Being the way... Love, Julie
Julie: We have a saying in some circles and I have seen this in my own visionary world...tabernacle in my heart oh God. Tabernacle is from the old testament where God would show his presence in the ark of the covenant in the holy of holies in the tabernacle after the pattern that God commanded. I don't think it was ever meant to see God as outside ourselves, particularly shown in the new testament with Jesus' teachings. It is shown to us in a way we can understand it. And still we don't sometimes...
Hi, Anne! Yes, I Love all of Jesus' words in the NT! They're pure Love, and I Love just soaking them in... and, of course, He leads us to so much more... (me personally, for sure!)

The misunderstanding is about all those words -- and interpretations -- we put around them. We clearly haven't understood them, much of the time! (To me, he's speaking as a mystic... Words don't suffice for what He's trying to explain. But starting from there, we can here those words so much more clearly -- in our heart, of course!) Love, Julie
(Um, Be Hear now, or something like that! I don't usually care about correcting my own typos in comments, but that's a big one! -- Auto-F in 7th-grade English! Yikes! Too funny...)
Julie, we get the gist even if we didn't here I mean hear it the first time! Thanks and I didn't realize I was still logged in to comfortcafe...That is the way I see the parables of Jesus in particular, they are spoke in a way that has much symbolism and living words that can be seen in a mystical way.
