Bio
This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Now I'm focusing on going back to college in my 50's and discovering a new path to direct my art--which is art therapy. _________________________________________ All of the artwork I created unless otherwise noted. If you'd like to buy one of my paintings or contact me to say oh, give me a million dollars to help me in my artistic endeavors : acreator3@gmail.com. Love Slave

In Life
or in death
we're going to have to
surrender
to love.....

Overwhelming as it may be
we must replace fear
and our reaction to protect
we must take the time
make it a priority
We say....
"I love!"
Yes but how much?
How often?
With what expectations or agendas?
Step aside
Let go
Open up
As Rumi said,
Come and be love's willing slave,
for love's slavery will save you.
Forsake the slavery of the world
and take up love's sweet service.
The free, the world enslaves,
but to slaves of love grants freedom
or as Paul said to the Corinthians,
For whoever was called in the Lord
as a slave is a freed person
belonging to the Lord, just as whoever
was free when called is a slave to Christ.
Love is God is Christ is Us is One.
Deepak sums it up.....

Kimberly: So was Jesus but Deepak isn't and neither is Rumi, all of whom I feature here ...... love is love is love
Thanks Inquisitive, I hope y'all are watching the videos especially all the way to the end of the second one.....
I do not love Palin or Newt Gingrich or the sonsofbitches on Wall Street that caused millions of people to lose their jobs and homes and futures. I do not love the military that is indiscriminately blasting funerals and wedding parties from remote controlled drones. I do not love those in control of BP that saw to it that much of the life, human and otherwise has been destroyed or damaged because of their voracious striving for profits. I do not love the health insurance executives who deny treatment to sick and dying clients so that their profits can be maximized.

There are people and other creatures that I love but I discriminate.
I know this, Anne: you are love.
Kimberly,Jan, I believe at least in my experience it's an act of courage to let go of our belief of what should be, what is fair or unfair and simply choose to do what you know is the loving thing to do--even if it hurts. I have a situation in my life that I'm thinking of, where I have to do that. It's not easy-- in fact it's a pain and a sacrifice, to turn the other cheek and not return ugly for ugly but beauty in it's place. That's why Jesus says, if a person takes your coat hand them their shirt (or something like that) Because if you return selfishness and need with the same-- the energy/spirit/vibration/consciousness will never change.

Oh Pilgrim, you're so sweet. I do know this the more you love the more it demands that you love more---does that make sense?
to love the collective you, the great you is far more simple than loving one you in all it's complexity and flaws. I love the world, but when i focus, as Jan Sand so eloquently did, then I do not love. I think about what those people do to the world and the people I love and I am incensed. and then there is the ONE you I live with and that is a struggle of one vs another, one loving one, the other loving the other or incompatible love or love being defined as defense. so much complexity in the word and the act. love is a gift and a struggle. I wish life were easier.

once again, your direct plea for love makes me think. big hug to you annie.
why my ratings don't stick is beyond me. (fingers crossed)
Monkey, Yes I understand what you and Jan are saying and it's a feeling of hopelessness, and powerlessness. What I'm saying is that I believe in the power of love to change things. Not in a sappy sentimental way. But in a collective consciousness raising way. In our lives, each of us are presented with personal challenges, whose to say if we meet those challenges with love--we take it to a higher level and think out of the box--that our action will not have more impact on the collective consciousness than we think. Little steps build to bigger steps and pretty soon you realize you're making a difference in the community and then in the city and state. It is not unlike Hillary's "it takes a village" concept. It means slowing down and not reacting immediately the way we would normally do. And certainly not listening to the advice of others if they are not "tuned in" to what you're trying to do--which is rise about the noise.

Remember what it was like to raise your daughters through adolescence? Well I have one that age and it's fresh on my mind. They are needy, emotional, over reactive, drama queens, where everything seems like life or death--with the tendency to focus more on the negative/death aspect. They're 2 year olds in almost adult bodies, stuck in a very real transition for which they have no control. I see the world like this. It needs to be comforted and cajoled into making the right decisions, because how we transition will effect the rest of our life.

I wish life were easier, too!
Love is love is love. Yes.
Annaliese,Jali: Love is love is love is hard sometimes but there is always a payback of more love-- always. Love never returns void.
Cool video, sweet and low.
Snorville and Kathy, thanks for stopping by!
Most people don't get it. They crave the SECRET. The ANSWER. And it's simple actually--we are spiritual beings first--put on this physical plane--not physical beings craving a spiritual plane.
I love your writing. Thanks so much. We need more spiritual writing on OS.
Thank you Christine and nice to meet you!
