In Life
or in death
we're going to have to
surrender
to love.....
Overwhelming as it may be
we must replace fear
and our reaction to protect
we must take the time
make it a priority
We say....
"I love!"
"I love!"
Yes but how much?
How often?
With what expectations or agendas?
Step aside
Let go
Open up
As Rumi said,
Come and be love's willing slave,
for love's slavery will save you.
Forsake the slavery of the world
and take up love's sweet service.
The free, the world enslaves,
but to slaves of love grants freedom
or as Paul said to the Corinthians,
For whoever was called in the Lord
as a slave is a freed person
belonging to the Lord, just as whoever
was free when called is a slave to Christ.
Love is God is Christ is Us is One.
Deepak sums it up.....

There are people and other creatures that I love but I discriminate.
Oh Pilgrim, you're so sweet. I do know this the more you love the more it demands that you love more---does that make sense?
once again, your direct plea for love makes me think. big hug to you annie.
Remember what it was like to raise your daughters through adolescence? Well I have one that age and it's fresh on my mind. They are needy, emotional, over reactive, drama queens, where everything seems like life or death--with the tendency to focus more on the negative/death aspect. They're 2 year olds in almost adult bodies, stuck in a very real transition for which they have no control. I see the world like this. It needs to be comforted and cajoled into making the right decisions, because how we transition will effect the rest of our life.
I wish life were easier, too!
I love your writing. Thanks so much. We need more spiritual writing on OS.
