This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Finally, A job

After almost 6 months to the day I have found a job. I wanted to thank you all for helping me though a difficult summer and lending your encouragement, prayers,  and even monetary gifts and purchases. You saw me through and I am forever grateful. Bless you all!

poorsinner: I'll say! They said I had one position and then they said they were still interviewing candidates and then they finally offered me the position I originally applied for. It's half the pay of what I was getting at my old job, in one way, but they have great benefits, and with a child in need of braces, etc. that's worth a lot more!

Bonnie, you crack me up! You're always on fire --a zest for life (and justice)! I'm going to be a frameshop manager at Michaels. It's a trade I have always fallen back on. I was hoping for something with more pay and or better hours, but I am thankful for anything at this point. It's a big company with room to grow which is good. They promote from within which is good. It seems everyone is really nice, and I'm hopeful that I'll still be able (have the energy) to teach art classes, and juggle my daughter's activities.

Im really curious about the painting you posted. It almost looks like some kind of explosion!!

zanelle:Thank you! The painting is called "Magic" It is of a cut glass bowl and the abstract floating image I derived inspiration from a tutu. It's kind of like a tulle flower--a spiritual symbol for the fleeting changes and seasons in our life. The outside shaped canvas you can see one golden leaf dangling echoing the sentiment of change. I think I had winter in mind when I painted this.
