- Bio
- This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Now I'm focusing on going back to college in my 50's and discovering a new path to direct my art--which is art therapy.

From Ink Blots to a Metaphorical Narrative-Art Therapy Dir.
Creating art has the ability toreach the very depths of the brain where early development occurs. Children who have endured trauma often have memories stored there which cannot easily be expressed. The following directive has two parts. The "squiggle game" which was based on a traditional… Read full post »
Art Therapy Directive: Self Mask

Mask making is a very primal artistic expression. Masks have been made by tribes for ceremony and ritual. There is symbolism with masks that represent the “masks” we wear every day. The person we show to the outside world can be very different to what

Making our way back home
I’ve been thinking
a lot about what makes a home. My daughter and I have been
displaced from our physical home for over 6 months due to family
illness. Living with my elderly parents I’ve come to see home

Now I am whole again

Unravelling the

"It's not fair!" screams my 12 year old daughter. Such is the
