Welcome, Ann. I thought you meant you had been here on OS a while and were just visiting my blog for the first time. I am honored that you dropped by so soon in your membership here. You will find we are a pretty friendly and helpful group. Any questions just send me a PM (private message, internal email system) and ask away. I have made almost every mistake out here already and am adding to my resume daily, so if I don't know the answers chances are I remember who I imposed on to get them. ;-)

Here's a tip to start using right away. When you're writing a post, before you save it, make sure you copy all of the text. Sometime OS will ping out and you might lose your stuff. Then you have to smash your face against the keyboard and that hurts. So remember control-A, control-C is your friend. I am too, because I'm fabulous.

Wow. I'm so glad I visited your post. I didn't know that OS could ping out on you. Thanks to Freaky's advice I will copy before saving. By the way the This is My Milwaukee video on my blog is a joke. Some people from Milwaukee are offended, some think it's a hoot. Just for the record I love Milwaukee (even though I've never been there). How can you not love a city with such a great music scene and The Brewers?

(Pssst...I've been blogging here since Oct and I still don't quite get how to load stuff on my post. Don't tell Rob 'cause he's got all kinds of helpful stuff on how to do all kinds of techno weeny stuff on OS over at his place) Anywhooos...Keep trying!
I write my posts on my desktop and save them. Then I copy them on to my blog. That ways, if I screw up (and I usually do) I haven't lost the words.

You should be PROUD of your lameness. In my book, the idea that you're not being all about being "synced-wired-wireless-touch-screen-text-message-uploady" means you have been doing other cool and productive things with your time! Good for you! And now, you have a gaggle of people who have offered to help with your technical questions. And btw, that's a lovely photo you uploaded.

Welcome to OS. I still use a landline (there's nobody I can't wait to drive home to talk to on the phone). The new flatscreen HDTV I bought myself in December is still in its box although I wanted to be all hooked up with cable in time to watch the Inauguration in HDTV. I even still have DIAL-UP connection to my computer. And I've never owned a microwave oven. Lame ducks offer ME their little crutches.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger sweetie. My first post was so lame it had no paragraphs. I didn't know to hit enter. (no lie, check it out)

Installing an avatar took about three weeks to accomplish. Imagine my joy when I uploaded my first image for a post. Embeded video is still as mysterious as quantum physics.

There are a few here as technically challenged as we two. I'm considering forming a support group. You'll be totified if I can ever figure out that mailbox thing.

Lameness is not a terminal condition. (small, lame, pun.)
