finger pencil About 10 years ago I lost my mind and decided to go blond. I ended up looking like a calico cat because it didn't quite work out and had to get it professionally fixed When a friend of mine laughed his ass off at me in email this is the picture he got in response. I forget exactly what I did to it to get it to look like that. I still use this image whenever someone I know and love irritates me online.

I like this one the best out of the series. Love that you hold on to it and use it when appropriate.
You are beautiful.

So why do you use that picture as your screen pic when you have this?

It doesn't capture your beauty at all.
Well, thank you, Elizabeth.

It honestly never occurred to me to use this one. I'm not sure I want the image of me flipping someone off to be the one that introduces my posts.

Truthfully, I'm not crazy about the one I do have up but I've been too lazy to find another one. Maybe I should do that.
You should do that.

You are much too pretty for that picture.
I get a little weirded out when people change their pics... it's like I just got to know you and a new person walked in. But I'll second Priddy. I have you very well fixed in my mind via your current pic and if it isn't really you, I want to know. And see you.
well, I don't know how your hair looked in 'real life' but it rocks in the photo!
Arlene - maybe I'll send you a picture of the time that I dyed my hair red. It didn't work out - and I mean, it REALLY REALLY didn't work out. But, I had too much travel and work so couldn't get it fixed for 3 weeks. That will take the vanity out of you....
That was after it had been fixed. Before it had patches of bright red and a darker crescent moon shape over one ear. It was pretty bad. One of the boys took one look at me and said, "Dude, that sucks!" and offered me one of his hats to wear in public when I went to get it fixed.
Your current picture made my first impression of you be of a very angry person.

You are feisty, but you are a compassionate loving person. And that shows in your eyes, even as you give the finger.

It shows in your writing too. You should sync it up, IMO.

I love Eric Anan's and P-Farmer is very FHM.

So you need a good one, too.

My mermaid head actually looks like me and was photoshopped from a picture of me wet from the beach for a show of my mermaid plates. I don't photograph well, so getting a good picture was difficult and now I am just going with that one. So rest easy, Sally.

I liked it when JD showed his face instead of the bike, but I want a real face for Lonnie, that one whistling is great. maybe even his moonshine pic. It shows character and very small, it would be less blinding.

Lippi is very cool, too.
FHM? I'm not up on all the lingo, obviously.

I have a not-so-secret desire to put deep magenta streaks throughout my hair. If I don't do it soon, I never will. I need a buddy. Ann? You're close.
You look great blond, Arlene.

Elizabeth - how do you utilize photoshop to get outlines / comic book pictures?
A men's mag, dearie. The one RR's pics were in.

That's a very "saucy cowgirl" pic if i've ever seen one.

PF - I had magenta streaks in my air - by the right ear. A few months ago I switched to blue but it faded to icky green so I switched to purple.

Do it! It's easy enough to undo if you don't like it. But you probably will. I've gotten so used to it that when people say "you have purple!" I look at them blankly and say 'huh'?
Thanks, Sandra. I'll tell everyone that you said it was okay!

But I'd still like Ann to come with.
sorry, just thought I'd join the conversation. Didn't mean for anyone to think that I'm trying to arbitrate what's "OK" It's your hair and of course you should do whatever you - and Ann - want.
I think the idea there was that she was going to blame you if anyone had anything snarky to say about it. "But Sandra told me to!" sort of thing. Then she gets off scott free.

I generally take really crappy pictures. I didn't think the one I have up made me look angry, though. Yeesh. That's not good. I'll definitely have to find or take some and see if I can come up with something that doesn't do that.
Spot on, Arlene. I don't need anyone's approval, seldom do. I wanted Ann to come along, not for approval but because she lives in Tucson and that's the closest OS member that I know of. Sandra, you are my official scapegoat though I have to admit a few minutes ago I told David Sandra thinks it's a good idea if I put magenta streaks in my hair and he said, "Go ahead. I'm not stopping you"

So now I can only blame (or congratulate) myself.

I've got to pay for a wall first however unless someone wants to give this poor little match girl pink hair gratis. c;-)
And BTW Arlene, are your nails always that long? Mine are nubbins. How do yo manage it with typing and gardening and kidding (ha, I made you sound like a goat)?!
what in the world did I do to earn "official scapegoat" status?!

Arlene, you have really nice fingers. Even your bad finger is attractive. I'm a hands person - b/d mine are so godawful ugly.

BTW, you look amazingly like a girl that lived in my dorm freshman year at college.
Yes, my fingernails are generally always that long or longer. I don't do anything to them other than run an emery board over them to keep them from getting lopsided and chopping them off when they start to irritate me because I can't type or am tired of cleaning out from underneath them. They just grow.

I have my grandmother's hands. Her nails, too.

Thanks, Sandra.
I just dyed my hair brunette. It's very short, too. Lauren - I'll go with you for some color. If I can't make it up there, then try some tequila for support and encouragement.
