The house is familar. I've been here before- comfortable in the odd setting.
I can almost picture the outside in my mind but it evades me at the same time. An odd cul-de-sac, the house with it's tudor roof style, at once interesting yet strangely haunting. Inside, dark wood, old, at least 100 years or more. Polished maple stairs lead up to a room but when I look to the left I see windows into another room.
The furniture is moving itself, stacking up and re-arranging. As I look away and look back, the changes look geometric. I'm not bothered by this, it seems normal.
Down in the basement, there is water leaking in. Me thinking, Houston we have a problem! Somewhere along here it turns into an industrial site.
There are people around and I'm talking to a 5'6" Mexican man; no idea what we are talking about, I can feel his eyes on me but I ignore him.
Now for some reason we are driving a van, or rather he's driving. I'm in the passenger seat. We stop, get out, and immediately I see to my right a horse laying on the ground.
I'm mortified because all 4 legs are cut off mid-cannon and strewn about on the ground around him. Taking my phone out as if to call 911, I look away but out of the corner of my eye, I see the impossible!
"Wait look at him!" The barrel of the mangled horse lifts then falls in breath. Neck curling as he raises his head off the ground towards the sound of our voices. We are in his blind spot, he cannot see us.
My mind is racing, holy shit, I don't know what to do! Then the horse lumbers upright (as horses do) to his "stubs," jumps into slippers, (mule style no less), and trots off. I'm left to wonder how they stay on his "feet"...
Welp, must be ok!
Later, I'm in a building, a house maybe, not sure. There is a knock at the door... it's the slippered horse on short legs!
More knocking, "Mom, I need you to finish filling out this paper work for track..." oh the kid...

Who cut the legs off.. the Mexican?
And then he HAD to drive you out there in the van to see his butchery?
But the horse... is ok with the short legs... has some custom slippers and does just fine, and seeks you out again. BUT how does it knock?
Horses have many options with respect to knocking, knees, their head, a back stub for this poor unfortunate creature. Maybe it wants coffee, hell I don't know, Jacob woke me up before I could find out!
But do not apply logic to the illogical, you should know better.

Scarlett, (love that name) like a window into the brain and the weirdness that swirls about! non-drug induced I might add..
L, maybe! My brain prefers happy endings, by hook or crook!
Nanatehay, whew, apparently I'm fairly transparent in dreams. But with regards to economy, I think its more personal. Current employment situation needs to change.
