phyllis, spring should be beautiful with all the daffodils popping up in the woods. This is only my second spring here and I'm sure I didn't wander back into the woods last year. Will definitely watch for them to bloom this year.
Firechick, you are welcome. Max is just such an awesome dog, he is my shadow. I want to do a blog with some pics of him when he was young, I've never seen a dog gray up like he has. It gives him such character, which he has plenty of!
Margaret, thank you. I love my backyard and the woods behind it. Its a welcoming view considering I live (currently) in the suburbs. Max's eyes, I love them too. Was amazed I caught them that well!
phyllis, Max is all or mostly Akita, or so I was told. At 105 lbs, he is small for the breed but has the build and bone structure of an Akita. He was a year old when I got him, "free to good home". He was chained up in the back yard of this lady's house, I couldn't walk away. He can look fierce but he's a lover. He is 12 now, but is doing quite well.
Another sexy tree at the bottom (remembering L'Heure Bleue's tree).
iPhone pics? Remember how I told you it was easy to upload them? Well, now I can't get them from phone to 'puter and I have some cool ones from last night too dammit
Being a nerd, I love photo essays, so thanks for sharing your back yard here. The fifth shot and the next-to-last one are my favorites, I think; the light in both is wonderful.
Distinguished with a grey beard. Nice (big) doggy, I can relate to you. Fancy some K&R assignments nice doggy? Eaten anyone tasty recently big dog? We must compare tales some time.
Beth, yes! Its fun to attempt to capture the things we see and bring them out. I love the country and things in nature, the wonder of God's creations boggles my mind. Of course my mind is easily boggled...
nanatehay, nerds are cool, make no mistake. All pictures were taken within minutes of each other, with an iphone no less. Wishing I had grabbed the camera.
CE, Max is 12, probably rather tough and sinewy. And no doubt all the road kill he noshed on when we lived in the country tainted his flavor, of course I have finished him with some primo doggie... food...
I've been thinking about a `Hoe. A hoe makes a great walking` Stick. If Max runs off into a rabbit` Hut: ` The Hoe can save your life from`Beer. Bare Feet on a Peacock is very`Ay Ugly. Honest. Trig, Agreed! Max is is da bomb! The woman tree is in the small grove next to the gazebo, and sure has some very gnarly shapes.
I paid very close attention to Jacob when he impatiently showed me the error of my ways. Its not hard! lol
