INTRODUCTION

April 2001, United States President Obama, ordered a covert US Central Intelligence Agency Operation to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden. May 1, 2011, the White House announced that U.S. Navy Seals successfully carried out this operation and killed Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Ladaen was in his Abbottabad compound in Pakistan at this time. According to the United States, Osama Bin Laden's body was taken to Afghanistan for identification and then buried at sea. Recently the publisher Wikileaks, published emails by Stratfor that reveals a second likely scenario on what happened to Osama Bin Laden's body. The emails were created on May 2^nd, 2011 the day after Bin Laden was killed. These emails were strictly a conversation between Fred Burton, George Friedman, and Analysts at Stratfor. There was a 24 hour time frame between the killing of Osama Bin Laden and his burial at sea.

 STRATFOR'S SCENARIO OF EVENTS FOLLOWING OSAMA BIN LADEN'S DEATH

May 2, 2011, Burton states in an email “We told the Pakis after we killed him. But, will praise GOP publicly. All spin and bullshit. Killed by Ground Branch CIA.” This verifies that the Operation to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden was in fact a covert US Central Intelligence Agency operation led by the US Navy Seals. George Friedman writes an interesting email. The following is speculation, opinion of George Friedman. Friedman states, “Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed. No one wanted a monument to him so they cremated him. But I don't know anyone who claimed he wasn't Eicjhman. No comparison with suddenly burying him at sea without any chance to view him which I doubt happened”. Burton then replies to Friedman, “If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like. The Tribe did the same thing with the Nazi's ashes.We would want to photograph, DNA, fingerprint, etc. His body is a crime scene and I don't see the FBI nor DOJ letting that happen”. This is a very likely scenario that was just stated by Friedman and Burton. Burton then goes on to state, “Reportedly, we took the body with us. Thank goodness. FBI sees retaliation attacks in CONUS”. CONUS stands for the Contiguous United States. The Contiguous United States are the 48 states on the continent of North America that are south of Canada and north of Mexico plus the District Of Columbia. Although the FBI suspected retaliation attacks in the US following news of Bin Ladens death, the terror alert was never raised. Burton further states, “Airborne (Bin Ladens body) to CONUS. Body is Dover (Delaware) bound, should be here by now”. Bin Ladens body was being flown to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Burton goes on to state, “Than onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda.” This is where they would identify Osama Bin Laden via fingerprints, and complete any other pathology/forensics that needed to be completed on Bin Ladens corpse. Burton then states, “Down & dirty done, He already sleeps with the fish.... “ Thus Osama Bin Laden's corpse would be buried in the cold Atlantic. A part of the sea that neither man nor country owns. Fred Burton then leaves us with one last note, “** Fred's Note: Although I don't really give a rats ass, it seems to me that by dropping the corpse in the ocean, the body will come back to haunt us....gotta be violating some sort of obscure heathen religious rule that will inflame islam? I was sleeping thru that class at Langley. The US Govt needs to make body pics available like the MX's do, with OBL's pants pulled down, to shout down the lunatics like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck.”. Did the US cremate Bin Laden's body then scatter it on the ocean? Did the US give Bin Laden a burial at sea? Both are very likely possibilities. Either scenario confirms that Bin Laden did receive a burial at sea. More important is can Stratfor's scenario of what happened be accomplished within the 24 hour time frame?

 THE 24 HOUR TIME FRAME

The distance from the United States to Pakistan is 7109.4 miles, 11441.4 kilometers, 6173.8 nautical miles. Approximate civilian flight duration from Washington, Dc, US, to Islamabad Pakistan is 14 hours, 46 minutes. In a 24 hour time frame, this would leave 9 hours, 15 minutes to accomplish ID, Pathology, Forensics of Bin Laden's corpse. Time for this would be greater since a Military flight would be faster then a civilian flight. If Bin Laden's corpse was cremated, it would take 2-2 and a half hours to complete the cremation. Using 2 hours as a figure, time left after corpse arrives 9 hours 15 minutes, less time for cremation equals 7 hours 15 minutes left for forensics, burial at sea. Depending on the type of verification/tests done, it is possible that Stratfor's scenario could be accomplished within a 24 hour time frame. Usually a thorough forensics investigation would take more then 24 hours.

 FINAL THOUGHT

 Both the United States version and Stratfor's version are credible. The Stratfor emails verify that Osama Bin Laden was buried at sea via his body or scattering of ashes. Osama Bin Laden's body coming to the United States would insure the secrecy of the operation and keep Bin Laden's body out of reach of the Taliban, and Al-Qaida. Bin Laden's body coming to the US would also decrease the possibility of retaliation in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Thus Stratfor's version of the events following Osama Bin Laden's death holds a bit more credibility. Did the US cremated Osama Bin Laden's body? Stratfor hints at the possibility. Stratfor's emails on the events following Osama Bin Laden's death have proved a credible, alternative, scenario/insight into one of the most important events in history.
