Bio
"Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita," I find myself still asking some of the same questions I did when I was just a punk kid. The Big Things confuse me. Fortunately, though, many little things delight and amuse me, and some Big Things--my wife, our kids, our bird and bunny visitors, food, baseball--make me very, very happy. In my pilgrimage, I try to be guided by the wisdom of dear old Auntie Mame: "Life is a banquet!"

The Best and the Brightest, Part 2?

Rate: 0 Flag

The New York Times has an interesting article today about Brian Deese, the young (31!) guy who is a principal (the principal?) player in the Obama administration on the auto industry makeover.

Here's a link, if you're interested: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/01/business/01deese.html?hpw

Now, I'm not saying that something didn't have to be done. And I don't have anything against this guy. He seems intelligent, and I'm sure he has good intentions. (And paving roads would be a great stimulus thing.)

But I sure hope we're not putting together another "best and the brightest" here. You know?
