Andrew began showing signs of strange behavior almost after Ron had left for the Persian Gulf War.  He was nearly four years old and began drooling.  His eyes would roll during a conversation.  Andrew could not stay on a topic of conversation for more than a minute. There were situations in which he would gargle while speaking.  I really believed he was exhibiting regressive tendencies, since he missed his father.

Lisa had regressed in her toddler years when Andrew was born.  She would wet her pants and forget how to hold a spoon to feed herself.  It took time before she adjusted to having a younger sibling.  Therefore, I thought Andrew was going through a phase.

After Ron returned, Andrew's behavior did not change.  Instead, he began exhibiting further signs of regression.  Andrew began to stutter or speak out saying the most off-beat things.
