Watching the new episode of "The Voice" and a very attractive, singer and former model just did the "blind" audition.  Her singing style was very typical indie voice nowadays (not really sure how to describe the sound, but if you heard it, you'd know it).  Nice girl, very pretty, nervous and not snobby, but she was completely one-dimensional, singing virtually the exact same tone and inflection throughout.  Blake punched in first, then Celo.  And then the turnaround (of chairs, that is)...

WOW!  She's Gorgeous! Beautiful! Tall, sleek, probably a former model (my words)!  Well, didn't the judges turn weak at the knees.  Celo practically proposed to her on stage.  Blake was gentlemanly, but the change in attitudes and perceptions was palpable after her the judges were able to see her.  And nobody was pretending to mistake it for anything but what it was... 

Just really shows how far we have to go with regard to the way women and beauty (or lack thereof) are viewed and judged in America (and elsewhere).
