My Grandkids are Arlyn and Zoe. They are both 6 years old and heading to 1st grade.
They say some really funny things. I encourage ALL parents OR Grandparents to keep a journal. Write down everything your kids/grandkids say. It will give you a chuckle later and totally embarrass them later. That right there makes it worth it.
I've found, however, that I really need to take my journal everywhere because these intelligent quick witted beings always say funny things when we are out and about! So I've taken to using my cell phone to write a draft(text mess) so I can remember them.
Arlyn: Arlyn and Papa(Grandpa-my husband) were riding with Great Grandpa. Arlyn, sitting in the back seat, singing. He's always singing. Great Grandpa turns to ask, "Arlyn who are you singing to?" Arlyn replies "I'm singing to my shoes".
Arlyn: sometimes my brain goes on little vacations but it will be back soon. See here it comes now.
Zoe: Awma(the kids call me this not Grandma) did you know the dishwasher is singing "We will We will Rock You!".
Arlyn: one day Papa, Arlyn and I are walking thru a parking lot. the wind comes up, Arlyn puts his arms out air plane style. He says "Awma look I'm breaking the wind!".
Arlyn" during a shopping trip, Arlyn was acting up obviously tired. I asked him what his problem was. he replied: I took my brain out to clean it and I forgot it in the dryer."
Arlyn: one day Arlyn came to me and said he needed a new brain because the old batteries were burnt out and replacement batteries weren't available."
these are just a few I've written down over the past year. I can't wait to hear what they come up with this year and beyond.
Yes I write about Arlyn, mostly because Arlyn lives with us.
