The British Question Time Tradition would be good for the US

Rate: 0 Flag

I would like to see the British tradition of "Question time" incorporated into our vapid political system

Can you imagine... just imagine GW Bush fumbling attempting to cough up the words to use in a verbal sparring match that required him to be quick on his feet? He would have been run out of Washington on a rail if we had question time in the US. What would have happened if Russ Feingold or Alan Greyson had the opportunity to question Bush to his face on a regular basis about his policies, in front of the whole nation?  I cant say for certain what changes there would be but I know the outcome would almost have to be a positive one. At the very least it would make American politics more interesting, require politicians to be able to debate their positions without a teleprompter and 10 guys writing their speeches.... All you repubs out there, wouldn't you like the opportunity to have your party leaders question Obama on a regular basis in front of the whole country? This should be a bi partisan issue everyone should agree on. If you want Question time too, sign this petition! I did!
