You don't really hate paying taxes!!
These are all both front page headlines from left leaning news websites today. Okay I get it, Republicans/teabaggers hate taxes and consider them an abomination. Every April, pitch forks are sharpened for an impending revolt by fiscal conservatives everywhere... Salon, huffpo, liberals in general see this and their general reaction is:
Everything the teabaggers do is bad ergo I will do the opposite... and the opposite in this case is EMBRACE TAXES!
Yeah! Taxes, I love paying my taxes, take that teabaggers!
SHUT THE HELL UP! I am as liberal as the next salon.com reader (maybe slightly less) but embracing taxes... loving tax day... you are crazy? You sound like a North Korean citizen regurgitating back propoganda to the Great Leader. Hating taxes and tax day is as American as apple pie, and I'll be damned if I give that up just because someone may label me liberal. I HATE TAXES. Yes, I believe in universal healthcare, yes I believe in social security, the public school system, and better roads and infrastructure... but I STILL HATE TAXES.. and I think that is a healthy attitude. I think an unhealthy attitude is thrusting all your money to the government and saying "Here you go, you know what better to do with this than me! take care of me"... which is the attitude I seem to be seeing in the 2 posts at the top of the page. Liberals should admit to some truths that teabaggers embrace as central planks.. it is the only way we can fix some of these problems.
1st Government is inherently wasteful and measures should be taken to reduce this wastfullness as much as possible.
2nd Taxes suck! We hate paying them, Government should run efficiently as possible to limit the amount of taxes we have to pay.
Why can't liberals embrace these ideas. Teabaggers with the IQs of Lenny from Of Mice and Men get these concepts, why cant we?

You don't need to rejoice, and government should be effecient and accountable (try voting), but law & order and a civil, free, society are paid for by taxes.
You have no serious objection to taxes, but you do object to the waste of taxpayer money. Here, the application of the term waste must be defined. A lliberal may look upon corporate regulation as necessary. A conservative may look upon any regulation as unnecessary and, therefore a waste. In this connection one can dislike some governmental expenditures. For instance bloated military spending as opposed to social "entitlements". Perfectly legitimate.
Now, I must admonish you for two things. First, your post and/or comment repsonses are unnecessarily abrasive. (Shut the hell up; go eat it?) Second, select another word than "hate". I am so tired of the "hate" that is being wafted in the media.
