I just got back from a wonderful workshop in Auvillar, France, offered by Marilyn Kallet and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. It was an opportunity to go somewhere beautiful and learn from a master and spend time with other poets who help and support each other. I did it because I felt I had to get away, clear my head and decide whether or not I really wanted to continue writing. I do. That means I have to focus, something very hard for me.
I will miss all the wonderful people who have made this experience a catalyst for my decision to keep on writing. Thanks to all of you. You are a wonderful community of writers, very warm and supportive.
Take care and keep on keeping on.
