I saw this over at HuffPo and I'm sure the huge non-reaction will be completely deflating. No matter what harm we do to others, we always assure ourselves they somehow "deserve it". That's not a good policy for survival.

Wikileaks posted this less than three hours ago and my initial skimming is turning up horrific shit, but yes, the pubic will yawn and go back to speculating on when Lohan will be released.

Ignorance is not bliss.

I was wrong on the time. Wikileaks released the data at 5 PM EST tonight. There is more coming on Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.

What is amazing is Wikileaks accomplishes what it does with a 600k budget - all from donations.

Amazing that no one has reported on what the law firm of Lavely and Singer managed to do to wikileaks . That's a story that no reporter will touch. I have personal experience with what Lavely and Singer can get judges in California to do.

I don't think this will matter that much. Anyone who cares already knows what is going on in Afghanistan - if not in detail, then at least in general. We have thousands of years of experience with war. If some people are ignorant of how it works, it must because they don't care to find out.

The law firm of Lavely and Singer took wikileaks down for a long whiel and me too. I wish this angle was discussed- How Lavely and Singer got a judge to do an ex parte and how such Law firms have the power to get judges to do their bidding. But, apparently, the world is full of the gutless, and Lavely and Singer, are getting away with murder.

I admire your doggedness, your persistence, tenacity in following such topics. I must confess a failure or breakdown in writing about such things. The hopelessness I feel regarding our nation and the principles upon which it supposedly rests is beyond my ability to express anymore.
