Army Warned Months Ago about Kill Squad Murderers

Rate: 12 Flag

If you are not familiar with the US Army Kill squad that picked off random Afghan civilians taking their body parts as trophies and the Army's attempt to cover this war crime up - you can get the background here:

American Soldiers: Killing Randomly 4 Sport, Taking Trophies

Now as the story develops everywhere except in the American M$M, it comes out that an accused soldier's father allegedly told the Army about the first killing months before more Afghans were randomly premeditatively murdered by our "hero" troops.

Of course this is merely the action of "a few bad apples" and there is no moral equivalence between these murders and the mass murder Obama commits each time he authorizes a missile strike on a wedding party in the off chance a war lord might decide to attend.

Go back to sleep.

It is only brown people dying.

They are poor and don't count.

Continue to shop.

And don't forget to NOT vote this fall like a good citizen.

The article from The UK Independent:

Army 'ignored warning on soldiers' plot to kill Afghans'

By Gene Johnson in Seattle

The father of a US soldier serving in Afghanistan says he tried several times to pass an urgent message from his son to the Army: troops in his unit had murdered an Afghan civilian, planned more killings and threatened him to keep quiet about it.

By the time officials arrested suspects months later, two more Afghans were dead. And Christopher Winfield's son, Adam, was among the five Fort Lewis-based soldiers charged in the killings.

The elder Winfield said that his son did not kill the unarmed man and would never have been in the situation if the Army had investigated the warnings he says he passed along.

An Army spokeswoman at the base said she could not comment on whether they received such a tip or, if so, whether it was acted on.

The soldiers have been accused of conspiracy and premeditated murder. The highest ranking of them is Staff sergeant Calvin Gibbs, who, along with Corporal Jeremy Morlock, is accused of taking part in all three killings.

Private first class Andrew Holmes is charged with murder in the first killing, and specialist Michael Wagnon is charged in another.

Winfield is charged with murder in the final killing.

All of the soldiers deny the charges.

I'm surprised that you seem surprised.
and these are the guys under U.S. military control. are there any laws at all for the private contractors?
Not surprised.

Just putting it out there since my nightly news is ignoring it.

Regarding contractors, there are laws that could be used to deal with their crimes - but our Justice Department does not choose to enforce them.
When I read about shit like this I think that turning them over to be tried under Sharia law might be a good thing.
But what about the higher ups who were told this was going on and did nothing?

Should they get sharia law as well?

What about Obama? He has murdered over a thousand civilians with drone missile attacks. These guys are only accused of murdering three. 1000 > 3...

Yup. Petraeus on down get tried by sharia law for murder. Obama gets tried for whatever part of sharia law that covers being stupid enough to listen to asshats like Petraeus!
If only you were the attorney general.
far more explosive than abu graihb revelations but the US media is silent. the public is numb. of those who are not deaf, dumb, and blind.
One of the many horrible unintended consequences of going to war. thanks for posting this BB.
My only question is; how high up does the cover-up go? As I remember, they tried blaming Abu Ghraib on rogue enlisted personnel...
It will depend on who the father notified.

Of course ultimately only the junior heads will role. How else can we support the fiction that they are isolated "bad apples," if it comes out the rot stretches into the upper ranks?
Well, Angelina just told Pakistan that she's against burning the Koran .

yay!
