Bio
Former TV weatherman, copier salesman, mortgage seller (no, it's not my fault), shoe salesman, bartender, cloud-seeder, writer, blackjack/craps dealer. California kid or, as some like to say, 'Native Son of the Golden West.' Reared in bucolic Santa Rosa along the banks of the S.R. Creek and a walnut orchard that separated the crick from our house. I was on the high school swim team (not very good). I attended Santa Rosa Jr. College and Sonoma State until my education was interrupted by the draft. So it was the Air Force and eventually Penn State and a career in TV until that dissipated. Messed around with the above odd jobs ending with the blackjack thing and then now - edgy retirement.

Ok, ok, it's a gag post. But forchristssakes it may be the only way I can ever make it to the 'feed' or the faves or somewhere on the front page that might last for more than 28 seconds.

Or not.

I've discovered that sometimes the only way to get a comment is to post the goddamn thing yourself!
@Bill E: ditto, dude.
Bill, you seem to having a tough time getting the attention. do you mind if I become the 1st one to comment, other than yourself?

I hope things improve, and you find that you have many people giving you some support in your blog.
Bill E....what's going on? How come you don't just write about what's going on in your life. You were one of my first...if not my first...friend on OS. I made you a friend because I liked what I read. Don't stop writing. If you have no ideas, just write about your life, your feelings, your fears etc. I'd love to hear more from you. If I have accidently overlooked some of your posts, I am sorry. It's hard sometimes to catch everyone since the feed does slip by quickly. I'll go back to your posts right now and see what I've missed.
Thanks everyone for the nice remarks. I'm feeling a whole lot better these days, and many of you have been kind enough to inquire about me from time to time. I messed around with my antidepressants, a proven winner, and paid the price. Things are looking up lately and it's great.
