PT Cruisers--what a bad idea that was!
Why did they make that car?
Bill, you have forever changed the way I'll view my father's PT Cruiser, which definitely is not your father's Oldsmobile.
..and if you try to turn a corner the tires bang into the fender wells. The soap box derby has better cars.
Which is a shame ....as the old school lines were kinda nice.

What a bad execution of a good idea.
I liked them. Borrowing from the art deco streamlined era. They were different. As opposed to the blobs every car on the road has become once Detroit determined right angles were bad. I don't drive one, I'm not that much of a dork. But I can appreciate someone was crazy enough to put them on the market.
This was awfully short compared to some previous videos. Money must be tight over there are Real Time central.

As for the Cruiser, I must disagree. Most cars are cookie cutters of one another. The Cruiser is quite distinctive. I loved the look of them for ages. Then I rented one and found they have terrible visibility, especially out the back where you'd like to back up. (Maybe with radar and rear video they'd be ok.) So I don't like them but for different reasons. But I still think they're cool to look at and no one need be ashamed for driving one.
They fit the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth mantra: Kind of cool retro styling, but absolute crap underneath.

Oh, wait, remember "cab forward" design? That was the great inovation too.

Now, it's "that thing got a 'hemi?" 1960's technology at its best.

Can't wait for the new models with running boards and a cork-ball float in the carburator.
