I read a post today from scanner where he wondered if he saw his best buddy, now gone, in the clouds. I've seen quite a lot of interesting stuff in the clouds. Some of it was silly, and some of it made me wonder if maybe we don't get the occasional message. So here, for your perusal, are some of my cloud photos - make of them what you will, I will only say that these are NOT photoshopped. In some cases I may have enhanced the color a little or the contrast some to make the clouds stand out more. But the actual shapes you are about to see are exactly as I saw them, exactly as the camera saw them.

I called this one Curious George Blowing Out The Candles.

One of my best friends on Flickr, Janoid, is a huge collector of all things heart-like. Since I met her, I cannot tell you how many variations on heart clouds I've witnessed and captured electronically.

This is one of my all-time favorite ones. I choose to believe this was John Lennon sending us all a message. Someone suggested maybe G-d just loves Hugh Hefner. You can decide for yourself.

This one I call On Wings Of Angels, because they reminded me of angel's wings.
Now, the next bunch are a bit more serious from my perspective. Clouds sometimes form ethereal shapes, which I like to refer to as spirit clouds. They remind me of spirits dancing joyously in the sky.

In each of the four photos above, I saw a human-like figure, most clearly a head (photo #3 in this last group almost looks like a bat to me).
This last one is a bit ambiguous, but I clearly saw two arms raised above a head thrown back to the sky. Your mileage may vary, of course.
I hope you found this interesting. I've always loved clouds, and I've always managed to find interesting shapes in them. When I have my camera, I always try to capture them too.

I love window seats in planes, just so I can cloud watch.
Did you see my photo of mammatus clouds in an orange sky? (PM if interested.)
We used to construct forms for hours w Mom on picnics.
She always found the best ones. I could start to say I wish we had pictures, but in clouds, the permutations are fleeting and endless, one of our subtler gifts meant to make us stop, contemplate, and grow a keener awareness...
Beautiful photos. One of my favorite things to do is to lay in the grass and watch the clouds, or sit on my back deck and look at the sky.
Lovely pictures.

Chuck - I'm not sure whether they are reflections or not, I only know they are manifestations of vaporware. ;-D
Owl - I heartily recommend doing just that. Just make sure your chosen spot isn't on an ant hill - that always ends badly for me.
Spotted_mind - Hey, you can always join me on my cloud.
Fab - Me too. I always made a game of it with my kids when we had long car trips. I can't tell you how many Ernie clouds and Cookie Monster clouds we saw....
Lea - I've collected these ones over the course of a couple of years. I'd have to check the dates on the originals to be sure. And no, I don't think I've seen those. Sending that PM.
Gary - Oh, yes, brother. They are fleeting. I've missed quite a few because I didn't have the camera or I wasn't fast enough.
Fireeyes24 - Clouds have always captured my attention. Well, except when I'm driving. ;-D
Scanner - It is my pleasure, guy. There really is more than meets the eye in the world around us, of this I am certain.
Denese - I believe that we see those things we are meant to see. I will gladly swear on a stack of bibles or take a lie detector test if anyone ever doubted the accuracy of these photos. Barry and Deven can attest to my total lack of Photoshop skills. So, I'm a believer as well. :-D
Janie - :-D.
Thanks everyone for stopping by.
The third one looks to me like an arm and a hand giving the peace sign. I assume that's the J. Lennon reference.

Rows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way
I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down, and still somehow
it's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all.
