An Open Letter
Dear members of the Westboro Baptist Church,
I honestly did not think your activities could have become more offensive, yet once again I’m proven wrong. Your intent to picket funerals of the victims in Tucson, your statements concerning G-d’s “intentions” towards these victims, is indicative of your entire bigoted, racist, homophobic ideology which has no place in a “religion” that supposedly espouses “love thy neighbor”.
You people are as bad as any other group of extremists both in your rhetoric and your deeds. To claim that you know the mind and the heart of G-d is an affront to anyone who values a relationship with Him, and merely proves that you do not deserve the mantle of “religious order” that the government allows you to claim so that you can avoid paying taxes.
I hope that the good people of Arizona turn out in great numbers to show you that you cannot spout your hatred with impunity. It’s about time people stood up to you religious bullies and made you unwelcome in their states.
You should pray that G-d shows mercy towards you; the rest of your “brethren” here on earth hold you in contempt, and I do feel entirely comfortable saying that. I would not state with any certainty how G-d feels about you – I’m sure, in due course, He’ll let you know. As for me, I find you to be a group of reprehensible people who have no place in decent society. Luckily for you, this is the United States of America, where even the KKK can get a permit to protest. Of course, those that hold opposing views from yours can do the same as well.
Gotta love America.

I don't believe the Westboro people are who they profess to be, how can they be? If you are defined by vile hatred, then why the myopia when you look in the mirror?
It is good to see ya around these parts dear.....
Westboro, the pride of Kansas.. sigh
Well spoken good sir!
Come back soon, hear?
I am simply thoroughly disgusted at the new lows these people seem to continuously attain. I seem to vacillate between being disgusted by their actions and their statements, and then feeling sorry for how sad their lives must be that they need to denigrate others to lift themselves up.
"I would not state with any certainty how G-d feels about you – I’m sure, in due course, He’ll let you know."
Yup.

These are words that have
been usurped by shysters: "God,"
"Love," "America."
