Enough already, New World Order

Rate: 1 Flag

That's my limit.  I'm done with Obama, as of now.  I'm not going to tell you what he did, because it's not the sort of thing the general public should know about.  But as of right now, Obama is no more my president than Bush was.  Just the same front man for the same group of controlling interests. And can I say something else?  I am so sick of hearing people talk about Thomas Paine's Common Sense.  Have you ever read Common Sense?  It's trash.  I don't even think Paine wrote it; probably Adams or Molineaux.  The best reason the author has for breaking away from England is that America is larger than the British isles, similar to how the Moon revolves around the Earth.  Whoever wrote Common Sense is clearly avoiding the main reason for the American Revolution, a shortage of currency and hard specie in the colonies.  The Founding Fathers, or at least the people agitating for Revolution knew exactly what they were doing.   They had seen King George forcing the colonies to trade through the English Central Bank, limiting their ability to transact business or even BUY ON CREDIT.  The Bank had allowed currency to flow freely during the Seven Years War, but afterwards they restricted the ability of the colonies to grow economically until they had paid off all war-related incurrences.  Sound familiar?  The truth is, the Founding Fathers were so impressed that they couldn't wait to bring central banks to America, a country completely free of debts.  Our only saving grace, in the forms of Jefferson and the troubled Jackson, was an ability to vote for a president who could reverse the inevitable flow of capital into the hands of a few.  We let machines vote for us now.  Translation: Fucked.  History is such a beautiful and wonderful thing, but the art just dies in the hands of a Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh.   If I hear one more newscaster reference Thomas Paine's Common Sense I'm going to smash my television.  We need to stop taking our Revolutions from the people who own the presses.

we need another Jackson.
I thought I was going to admit my ignorance, since I've never read "Common Sense", but since you've referred to it as trash, I don't feel so bad. I guess I could understand your disenchantment with Obama if I thought he controlled anything. As one who believes our fate is in the hands of the chosen few, I see the President as a mere figurehead who is allowed to flex his muscles a little bit, as long as he doesn't step on the wrong toes. I think it's always been that way and it will continue to be, no matter who we elect. But even if I'm wrong, the President is an elected official, not a King.
Happy Mother's Day, Bill. :)
