In light of my ill-timed cartoon yesterday on writers shooting themselves and some of the mud-slingin, name-calling posts (crap headlines like; "Why Do ---holes Join OS?" Gee, why don't you tell us, buddy? If I hear another dirtbag making fun of another OS writer I swear I'm… Read full post »
CORRECTION; Just a quick comment. I was about to delete this post completely (and leaning that way–anyone out there like to advise me?) but it only seems insensitive to leave the cartoon up (which included a writer shooting himself)...I, of course, was not aware of today's tragic news… Read full post »

Sorry if I'm not doing cartwheels over Dan Brown's big day. I simply never bought into his stories which just seem, for me, not convincing and sensationalizing my religion. I'm also bias because of inane conservations I'm suffered through at snotty… Read full post »

It’s simple. I need to get funny and get funny fast. Loved ones around me are depending on it. Tension is high around the dinner table ("Show me the funny!"). A timetable has been placed on my quest (next Thursday).

I have begun to… Read full post »
NEW YORK – “It’s over,” stated a brief two-word statement released over the weekend finally pulling the plug on what has been a promising, yet ultimately, mediocre freelancing career. The immediate cause of death is undetermined but, according to expert

For Dr. Dorinda Fox’s Writing Class
I’m using my Open Salon page to respond to Dr. Dorinda Fox
and her class. She was kind enough to ask my views on a question
her writing class is studying and I hope my answer is
insightful.
What are your views regarding using visuals a purposeful
rhetorical strategy as in an… Read full post »

A new study by the Boston Public Health Commission reveals that almost half of Boston teens think that Rihanna is to blame for alleged assault "involving" Chris Brown. Where do kids get this thinking?
