I laughed out loud, spilled my coffee, looked at the second cartoon in particular and laughed again. Thanks much!
Nikki said it first.

But I'll say it again, I saw that second one and immediately had a flash-back. Cracked me up, but unlike Nikki I am accustomed to you cracking me up so I put the coffee down before I clicked over here.

The rest of the I/T staff were starting to get annoyed at my regular requests for new keyboards/monitors. :-D
FANTASTIC! Talk about pictures being worth a thousand words!
I second (and third) the emotion! Number two is a hoot!
One of the reasons I love Lyle Lovett:

...And if I had a boat
I'd go out on the ocean
And if I had a pony
I'd ride him on my boat
And we could all together
Go out on the ocean
Me upon my pony on my boat

The mystery masked man was smart
He got himself a Tonto
'Cause Tonto did the dirty work for free
But Tonto he was smarter
And one day said kemo sabe
Kiss my ass I bought a boat
I'm going out to sea...

Bob, You never fail to make me laugh...I loved them all.

bbd--captured my comment.
Great stuff, Bob. Thanks for the laugh this morning.
I love them, especially the "turning the wagon around" one. Like I always say, you are the best.
Tonto was always a bit of a prick.
I'd love to see some "Lone Ranger and Tonto in the 21st century" cartoons!
Poor Tonto. It's not easy being a sidekick.
I want my own psychic.
What? 'Sidekick'?

Nevermind...

Love these, as usual.
Why do you refer to yourself as an ex-cartoonist? You should come out of retirement.

Some of my favorites yet! If it was my mom driving that wagon in #2, she would also be blindly swinging her arm towards the backseat trying to grab/smack one of us while she drove.
#2 reminds me of driving along the Amalfi Coast!
These are GREAT! Couldn't wait 'til Saturday, eh, Bob?
I like the top one, take off your mask can mean a lot of things.
Yeah, "take off your mask" is awesome. #3 is also hilarious. Thanks!
Put a Toyota van in place of the wagon and you get the idea of traveling with my kids when they were young. rAted! (I always felt Tonto was seething in silence.)
Funny stuff, Mr. Bob. I'm so old, I remember The Lone Ranger from radio -- the mask tends to lose it's affect audio only, know what I mean? As for Tonto, we're told that means stupid. So how smart do you have to be to ride around wearing a mask risking your life going after bad guys for free? Get a job and a life, Lone.
Yep, I laughed aloud at #2 too! :-) Great, Bob.
Thanks all...bbd; I didn't know that song...Had different post but couldn't get permission from those I included in it so I posted this Western theme so I could participate in Cartoon Saturday and let the editors know I appreciate the spotlight they set-up for the cartoonists. Will post the my own Best Advice For First Novel next week instead after I take out some of the names.
Wonderful work Bob. Clean and sharp, without bile.

Much to admire about that!

Richard Fox
Traveling cross country by stage coach must have sucked for parents. "Are we there yet?"
Another great set. Thanks for posting.
i always wondered why tonto put up with that arrogant prick...
bbd you read my mind.

enjoyed your work, Bob!
I think The Masked Man enjoyed being # 1, but it is hard to say for sure, because I could never read his face..........
The second one reminds me of the time, when I was six, that we took a trip out west. Five kids, mom and dad, packed into a station wagon towing a trailer. Driving up Pikes Peak, we were stopped by a ranger who was making everyone turn around because snow was blocking the road up ahead. Station wagon + trailer + turning around on a narrow windy road + looking out the window and down down down = a very short life passing before my eyes... ANYWAY... great stuff as always Bob! R.
Good stuff - now this is how to start your morning out right!
Loved all three. Thanks!
It's funny 'cause it's true! They had a very contentious relationship. What most folks don't know is Tonto now works with Zorro and they get along great.
These are all great but I have a real fond place in my heart for #2
Thanks everyone and thanks Evan, thanks alot for leaving a comment that's funnier than the cartoons. You bastard.
no. 2 Makes me wonder if Laura Ingalls Wilder and her sisters were ever whiny in the back of the wagon? =o)

Great stuff, Bob!

Bob - this is my favorite series yet! I loved the first one -- I almost peed my pants! (Rated).
Hey - that's Julie in the wagon on Mt. Rose Highway which she hates so much!!
Very funny. Tonto could go postal at any time.
Fantastic, Bob. I especially loved #2 and #3.
ya, some people do ride pretty high in their saddle around here.

Love bbd's quote;
Kiss my ass I bought a boat
I'm going out to sea...

smart AND funny......it's a rare combo - so refreshing.
What started you down the wild west track? monkey fingered.
Great to see you!

You always make me laugh.
Just wanted you to know that this was at least a 4 day comment... I'm new to OS and just stumbled accross your stuff. Love it. Thanks for a great start to a Tuesday.
