What's So Funny About Peace, Love & Timeouts?

Rate: 36 Flag

Sensivity

In light of my ill-timed cartoon yesterday on writers shooting themselves and some of the mud-slingin, name-calling posts (crap headlines like; "Why Do ---holes Join OS?" Gee, why don't you tell us, buddy? If I hear another dirtbag making fun of another OS writer I swear I'm going to punch them in the face.)...I present this cartoon.

My first ever, this is the first time anyone has ever seen it.

(For more cartoons, I have some coming out soon in The Wall Street Journal, Chronicle of Higher Learning, Barron's and a couple in the December issue of Reader's Digest. I also have a couple of free cartoon apps to give to anyone with an iPhone. Write me in private and I'll send that out to you.)

Have a good weekend and continue to wave your freak flag – Bob

Let me be the first to applaud your timing. I certainly needed this laugh today.
I love that cartoon!
And, if you insist...

Letting the freak flag fly,
Terrific. Love your stuff!
I'm so busy chasing rainbows and unicorns in here, I never notice the mudslingers....heh.
I'm with the cat lady. I'm trying to catch rainbows and unicorns too...so I can get all the gold and eat the unicorn. Nice cartoon. Rated.
Mudslingers? Who? Where? Here?

Love it Bob. On topic and timely...thank you. Rated!
Bob,
Great news on your upcoming publications. You're back in the saddle again.
Ahhh - the voice of reason and a well-timed call for sensitivity in the form of common decency. Thank you, Bob. Going out now to wave my freak flag.
Rated.
wavin' it. wide and high...
Laugh and RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRated.

And let me know if you need any extra muscle when you throw that punch. My arm's feeling WAY itchy lately.
Yes, yes, yes! But, if we start punching people, I'm right there with you.
Great. We got an even dozen right now–that's right, a gang. We're set. We're angry. We just need a name and then we can kick some A-double S.

Ocean's Twelve is already taken. I'm thinking along the lines of Baker's Dozen. Too feminate?

(Thanks Walter!)
You are always a (visual) tonic for the soul.

To those who don't get it: Get lost.
Lisa! You're in. Put on the funny shoes.
theres defn a lot of inspiration in the crazy ppl on open salon....
I'd like to see bosses wear frogmen flippers more often.....
This is yet another fine example of why we love you so much, Bob.
I HAVE ALL THE SENSITIVITY I NEED, GODDAMMIT!!!
I've never had a problem offending people, as long as it's the right people - the ones who deserve it - and as long as it's sufficient enough to make their heads spin and pop off
Funny.
(Let's communicate. So much going on out there.)
Bob, your figure in the cartoon bears a striking resemblance to the assessor in my town who just left to work for another municipality. You can just imagine how the property owners enjoyed dealing with this fellow!
Thx for the very much needed laugh.
Oh, and mudslingers be damned. Seriously.
Well done, well done....you always make me laugh.
Nothing you can do about the timing of yesterday's post. We live in a gun nut society. Odds are that anyone will stumble over the horrors that handguns will bring. One of our local women was talking to her son at Fort Hood when he was shot. Fortunately he was one of the survivors, but his condition was unknown beyond that.
Congratulations on getting into the Journal. They could use you. I read it every day and will look for you.
A honor that you shared it here. Hilarious.
Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales. That's all I think about.
Thank you for this and other sentiments, Bob.
Me too, Lisa. The less we know, the better.
freak flag hoisted and flyin' high...
PS - you need to update your bio...you're not exactly ex ;-)
and you bitches in accounting... don't forget to wear something hot!
LISTEN UP ASSHATS!

I don't have to be some godly figure on here.

I promote civility but I reserve my right to call out the horse-crud for what it is.

Great work, Bob!

Just awesome.
I turn a blind eye to mud slingers, it's not worth my time. Great cartoon though!
This is so great. Oh and my freak flag is always at full mast.
