This winter I want to share my favorite snowmen from my personal stash of over 1,000 antique collectibles, photographs and artwork. The collection was on display at the Albright Memorial Library in Scranton, PA (and on TV a couple of times). Each day I will post a countdown of the top 100 snowmen, along with a backstory or two.

I have to wonder what prompted a sign like that. I mean, are there citizens of Tokyo running around and stabbing everything they can find with cigarette butts?
I like this, Bob, it's like the "deleted scenes" you get with some movies.
Perhaps dangling from the corner of its mouth (where it belongs).
;-)
Consumerism and hucksterism are creeping in here. Maybe time to move on.
Um, why do you see a problem with this man promoting his book on his own blog?
I realize it may look otherwise, but I'm artist who is just doing everything humanly possible to pay the bills and get by. If I'm going to have ads surrounding my work here and in the other venues anyway, I see no great crime in promoting or mentioning my book, especially since I'm providing quite a bit of free content. I really didn't start this series as a sales trick but because I didn't have time to decorate my house for Christmas and thought it would be cool to show off my collection. "Consumerism and hucksterism are creeping in here." A bit harsh considering the present economy and the particular circumstances of Open Salon.
Why does any post short of sharing a personal tragedy incite a comment or private message accusing selfishness?
I'm loving this series Bob. What gorgeous and fun talent you have.
