Heavy Darkness

Rate: 7 Flag

Inspired by Nikki Stern's Anxiety Attack

Eyes tightly closed

jaws aching

teeth breaking

fists clenched

clawing palms

arms squeezed

against  heaving chest

FUCK!

Close, so close

I feel it's mass

wishing to crush me

hear it's silence

wishing to deafen me

smell it's presence

it's there, it's there

robbing my air

all around me

overpowering

threatening

containing

confining

Breathing far too fast

chest too heavy

lungs empty

Goddamn thing

FUCKING CLOSE

effortlessly pushing

my heart

through my ears

GET ME OUT

NOW, NOW

Can't breathe

heart racing

head between

my knees

sweat dripping

soaking

gown

socks

hair

tears puddle

on the floor below

 Fucking MRIs.

Oh man. I should have been weary of something "inspired" by a piece called anxiety attack.
Boomer take a xanax. Where have you been? I trust all is well with you and the Mr's.
Well laid out. You were. Take care. I like this dark hole you painted.
Tink - thanks

trilogy - listen to your inner self :-)

sky ???????

Jack - xanax didn't work, they had to inject a drug called versed. I now tell docs if they watn MRIs they'd better send me somwhere that can handle a completely drugged patient. All is well, just felt like letting my brain mush out for a couple of weeks. Thanks for asking though.

tg - I was laid out but not too well in that damned claustrophobic thing

Cathy - hell yes. I can't even wear masks that impede my breathing, too close, too too close.
Oh that must have beeen horrible. But written so well.r
You are so right, wonderful poetic expression of this experience.
