In the past few days we’ve seen something a bit worrisome, whispered; perhaps rumored with reason?  I don’t know, but given the merger/take-over fever that has enveloped this country for decades, the news and blog postings pertaining to Salon.com’s and its Open Salon companion being “ripe" for something, anything from instantaneous shut-down to a seamless merger shouldn’t be much of a surprise to any of us.

I’d like to point out to each of my 18 TRILLION readers (No you say? You don’t think that if the government can loan 18 trillion dollars behind our backs using our tax money, I should be able to say I have 18 trillion readers?)  OK. OK.  Maybe all my 18 readers.  I was stretching the truth a bit, so what!!!

What I saw was the occurrence of a very interesting phenomenon taking place here on OS over the past few days and I’d bet that most of you weren’t even aware it was taking place.  As post after post of worry-driven words played out before me on my PC screen, I noticed, well in fact I actually felt the tension.  It was the kind of tension a Jung INFP, such as I readily picks up on when entering a room.  The F in me, no not the Fing me, the “F” in my Jung type - INFP.  I feel tension; I feel misplaced thoughts, looks, and even misplaced body language.  Often I don’t understand the reason for those feelings, but I do feel them, just as I’ve felt them for several days here on OS.  People using words conveying discomfort at an unseen presence, an occurrence that has or has not yet taken place but they had the very distinct feeling (and rightfully so) that something unpleasant was about to happen to their community, to the people they’ve developed a friendship or connection with.

Look back at the posts you know now, and perhaps have written and examine the feelings you had while expressing your worries of losing contact with a few persons with whom you’ve developed a bond.  Look back at how you felt – worried, confused, sad, panicked, alone, you had feelings that some evil empire was about to pull the rug out from under your community.

The OS community is very much a microcosm of the world outside the wires, keyboards, monitors, servers, electrons and the ones and zeros placed in specific orders transforming themselves into pictures, sounds, colors and most importantly WORDS.  Our lives, more than anything else in the information age, depend upon words set in strings that form COMMUNICATION, or if you will SPEECH.  Without that communication, we instantly begin to worry, panic, become confused, you feel alone.  Without those communications, communities, both, here on OS and on the very streets you and I live can disintegrate before our eyes in a mass of chaotic confusion, fear and panic.

The lack of communication is the VERY reason misunderstanding develops and once misunderstanding develops, it evolves to mistrust, mistrust turns malignant, growing into hate.  Once hate has entered the picture, disassociation and disenfranchisement begin to occur.  Soon after that, very, very soon, demonization begins to show its ugly face and it is an ugly face indeed, for the only step left is violence.  Serious violence!

This phenomenon is often a tactic used by controlling regimes, a shortened version of the concept – divide and conquer is shortened in words only, never in practice for those in control of a volume of people will always follow this pattern – reserve communications (hold secrets, allow rumors, devise deception) and we humans do the rest for them.  Governments do it, organized religions do it, even WE do it - hence bigotry, racism, violence against unfamiliar cultures.  Sounding familiar?

We’ve discussed a micro-community – Open Salon.  Of course, I'm not suggesting that OS is intentionally perpetrating ill will amongst us, but intentionally or not, we humans react the same to a lack of information and even a presence of misinformation.

Let’s “bump that up a notch” to a macro level community – The United States, maybe even the world.  Let’s use our own alleged democratic government of the United States as the controlling regime as the example it has become, a regime that has taken a path far different than the path they want its citizens to take and most definitely a different path than the one we expect from them.  In fact, it’s a path the regime doesn’t even want its citizens to know about and they want to keep it secret, so much so that they become deceitful to us, they secretly take our taxes to build this path and soon it’s inevitable that our regime must involve other regimes then they have the beginnings of a powered elite, now directing what was once the members of the regime.  The regime is now just worker ants running around carrying out orders of the powered elite.  More secret information is developed and the powered elite soon become untouchable, unreachable and even quite nebulous.

All the while this is taking place, we the citizens are still supporting our regime, and those puppets are taking our taxes and giving them to the powered elite which makes them even more powerful.  They've become so secretive that virtually everything they tell us is a lie.  They worry and demand of their regime puppets that their secrets should never be seen by anyone but the elite.  Oh, a bit of information will make its way back to the regime and be disseminated amongst the unnecessaries.   But once in a while, a bit of information escapes the confines of the nest of the elite, leaked out by some member of the regime, an unnecessary who still feels ties to the citizenry.

Just as we encountered in our Open Salon scenario, suddenly the citizenry and even some of the regime begin to panic, they begin to question the powered elite’s truthfulness and more importantly, their motives.  They suddenly begin to see the self direction of the elite and that direction doesn’t include the unnecessaries.  The elite do everything they can to tighten the leeks, which makes them appear even more secretive and self-serving.  They allow the unnecessaries to endure suffering beyond that which any human being should suffer (Haiti, almost the entire continent of Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc....).  They foster misunderstanding, mistrust, hate and demonization and even provide the unnecessaries with the tools to commit violence against one another.

Sound familiar?  It should, as it’s happening before our very eyes and has been for days, months, years, decades.  Not on Open Salon, but all through the very planet on which we live.  Our powered elite are making deals, overtures, contracts and bribes to manipulate other regimes to follow the now extremely powerful elite of the world.  The once profound ideals of democracy are virtually buried under the rubble of deceit and power.

Now comes the differences between the micro and the macro levels of our communities – O.S and U.S.  O.S. is easily settled through some very small communication efforts, a few calming sentences and we all feel a bit reassured, even though still a bit uneasy.

The powered elite of the US/world are now so far beyond management by means of the standard control measures – information sharing, democratic elections wherein we have TRUE choices, laws and simple common decency that the elite simply do as they wish and we've suddenly become impotent and truly unnecessary.  

The voices we extend in protection of even our simple rights as human beings is not just sang on deaf ears, it literally offends the elite to the point that they wish us harm and even gone.   Elected officials follow the commands of the powered elite rather than the desires of the constituents who trusted them with the power to lead and are now but a wall built by the elite to completely separate the citizenry from the “higher goals" of the powered elite.  Secrets are rampant between the elitists, we know those secrets exist, we know they’re damaging the world and we know that those secrets will eventually be our undoing.

We have recently witnessed another phenomenon take place in our world, the phenomenon of WikiLeaks trying to rebuild that information bridge by dissolving the mistrust through clarity of government activities.  WL is attempting to turn the mistrust from malignant to benign and stave off the inevitable hate.  WL is trying to re-associate and re-enfranchise the citizenry of the alleged democracies that are deceiving them with every word and action so that demonization of the other citizenry and the ultimate violence is not achieved.  WL is doing this by providing us with tools we’ve never had before – information that the powered elite share amongst themselves in an effort to gain control of OUR world and either rid their newly conquered world of us the unnecessaries, or to enslave us to meet their ever-growing needs and desires.  The deceit, lies, manipulations, murders, cowardice and their inhumanity must come to an end, or our world will.

That is their intent folks and WikiLeaks is our weapon to prevent it.

DO NOT allow the powered elite damage our only viable tool, the only tool we’ve had in centuries.  Support WikiLeaks.  Read WikiLeaks and send WikiLeaks on to friends, neighbors, family and most importantly – strangers.  The world needs to know what is at stake if the elite win this war and now that Mr. Assange and his band of heroes has paved the way for us, we should have an easy job of shutting down the voice of the powered elite, the corporations they own, the governments they run and expose them all for the liers, cheats and cowards they are and indict THEM for atrocities they've committed, false information they’ve chosen to promulgate throughout the world on a daily basis in order to commit the treasonous acts they've committed through their-tunnel visioned efforts to destroy the democracy they truly hate, the democracy they wish to destroy.

We're in perilous times right at this moment and we're about to lose our lives and the world we know.   Earth and her inhabitants are in extreme danger of death by greed and for the out of control lust for power.

As far as the elite are concerned, we are but mushrooms; how do they treat us like mushrooms?   By keeping us in the dark and feeding us shit!
