Is Nena Sanchez Living in My Garage?

Rate: 11 Flag

Nah! Just a wannabe

Well; I tried :-)

Plain ol' garage cabinets aren't cool, so I dressed them up a bit after building them.  Very likely the closest I'll ever get to the Carribean.

A swamp cooler added for some Carribean humidity and to make it semi-comfortable in 113 - 115 degree weather in the summers here.

Here's my baby!  But it's a beast!  A heavy-duty Porter-Cable 10" table saw.  This guy can rip through 4 x 4 posts without skipping a beat; a very nice guy to have around when building cabinets.

For some REAL and very, very cool Nena Sanchez art; go to Nena's Place

That looks awesome - a vacation within your own home! Are you going to hang and drink some nice tropical drinks?
Thanks Tink. I'll probably be living in them before too much longer :-)

Yes indeed Mohindu! The cabinet with the table saw isn't complete yet, I'll be painting a bar with some Corona Beer bottles on a table like the commercials. I tried to figure out a way to dig up the and move the pool into the garage, or build the cabinets around the pool, but neither idea worked too well :-)
“Very likely the closest I'll ever get to the Caribbean”

Don’t be to sure about that Bob I told you I do not forget who my friends are.
Looks like the main street in Culebra PR....my paradise.
Great job. You've got yourself a retirement income! Garage art by Boomer Bob......
I had no idea that tigger could paint. Awsome.r
Soon as I get my table and set-up going Bob, I'll send ya a sample of my palmetto frond Hand woven baskets to add some true Caribbean touch to the place . natural dyed,of course . And maybe some sea shells from the beach . Would you care for a landscape of a sunset on the gulf?? I shoot great photos....
love those cabinets . your painting is great . Please excuse my cell phone's lack of punctuation . I ain't real good at typoing on it so far...

Thanks Jack - the Carribean has always fascinated me with the colors and the cultures.

Ande - well, at least a hobby. I can build them pretty well, but the art needs vast improvement.

hugs - I'm betting my HOA will have something to say about it all if I leave my garage door open too much, thye like everything to be uniformly bland and sterile

Mission - I imgaine you get a lot of the Carribean flavors where you are. I love sunsets! You should take some and post them.

Sky - thanks

trudie - you'll love Nena's art. Lots of fantastic color
WOW! You are so very clever and talented. I have garage envy. The only thing in my garage (besides bird nests and stuff) is a neon pink tool drawer thing....I dearly love this!
So if you're just a wannabe Nina Sanchez, shouldn't we call you "Dirty Sanchez"???
Very, very cool... R&R ;-)
Hi Sheila – thanks, I enjoyed the project a lot. I like the garage too; home of the busy, land of the out-a-control project guy

Amy – or “Punk Sanchez” : - )

Thanks jmac
