Noticed the same thing myself. Emailed Matt P about it and he said it's like a quark or something. Copy your comment before you submit, if it doesn't stick, at least you don't have to type it again.

I often have to click the like button twice to get it to work, too.

I haven't had the prob until now, but you OS guys were huge help to me with my video posts, so I am sure someone knows how to deal with it. I noticed that as of yesterday, I no longer get an email when a comment is posted.

well when it happens to me I generally assume I typed the whole thing and then hurried on maybe without hitting the actual post button but also not waiting to see if it actually made it through the line.

I've had this happen from time to time. No flipping idea why, and a few times I gave up and just sent a pm to the writer.

No, but OS messes up periodically. I often don'tr check back to see if my comments are posted. I should.

Maybe this is part of the reason comments to me are dwindling away.

It's not a dumb post, their may be 500 emails a day going to OS, this will get seen much sooner.

It used to be that comments and posts would disappear all the time. Who knows why? I keep notepad open and use it to compose all my comments, then copy and paste them in. I use word to compose my posts for the same reason. It's miserable to do all that work and have it disappear.

Never forget that all computers are inhabited by mischief demons and trolls live in large photocopiers!

I upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 recently and started having similar difficulties with some sites.
I downloaded Firefox to use as a browser and the trouble disappeared.
That is the most techy thing I have ever said.

It's high tide in Palau now ~ can't do a thing 'til the tide goes out.

I thought I was having that problem for a while. I would post a comment...go away...come back...and no comment.

Then I realized that posting a comment takes some time...and the times that the comments were not showing up, the screen turned back immediately.

I was screwing up. Instead of hitting the "post this comment" button at the bottom of the comment screen, I was hitting the "post a comment" button again.

It appears as though the comment is being posted...but it ain't.

That may be the problem.

I am losing weight lately ... I have decided to think it is an IT problem, not a problem with the quality of my writing. Wait!
That is not true at all. I totally think it must be that my writing is not "right."
