Mystery Woman (Old Poem)

Rate: 6 Flag

She wrote me a letter,

Told me she liked me,

Told me she loved you.

Now she hides away

Afraid to face

The love I can not hide.

Look into woman's eyes,

Deep dark pools of mystery.

Don't judge her

Don't mistreat her

Give her the love

She would not take from me.

I pray you love her,

Won't ever hurt her,

She deserves the best,

That the world gives,

So give her love,

And nothing but.

(January, 1977)

wish I could recall who inspired this.

Wish something had changed in 33 years...

This is very beautiful, I really loved it. Touched the heart..
"Look into woman's eyes,
Deep dark pools of mystery."-- It is the deep dark mystery of a woman's eyes that bring the passion out in the heart.
Really Loved this.. Thanks for sharing it..
Don't you just hate it when you love someone who loves someone else? I lost count of how many times that has happened to me. Don't give up... things do change.
Mary... oh, it happens, often
ZJ...thanks
fe24: eyes are my favourite features
Wish I could be as unselfish and magnanimous as you. I feel your pain.
I think it's kinda cool that you can't remember who inspired it. I think that's good, actually.

Thanks for this one, Brian. I like it.
capn... no pain, no gain
beck: I can feel it like yesterday
carrie: I might not remember who, but I remember the feeling
BrianB- Eyes are my favorite feature too. My five brothers always tell me that my eyes are my best feature. My friends say it is my hair.
I like to look into a person's eyes and see what is deep inside their soul, you would be amazed what you can see in a person's eyes if you look close enough.
Still a very beautiful poem. I really loved it..
fe24: never trust your brothers. They're just afraid of being burnt by those eyes.
