For the month of October.
Canadian Thanksgiving. (next weekend). Garden to put to bed before winter's chilly breath.
Falling leaves. Raked into big piles. will kids no longer children still jump and play in them, rediscover joy? Might I?
Arising in the dark, enjoying the dawn, but dastardly early dark, as daylight saving fails its task, the transition not due til November.
First snow, flakes or flurries we hope, not storms and ice. Wondering when the winter tires should go on. Too early for such thoughts.
Ghosts, ghouls and goblins to end the month. Halloween- a feast, a festival, a raging at the turn of time.
You're my only strength,
Without you,
I can't go on,
Anymore,
Ever again.
May we all have someone who shares their srength.
For October is nature's hint of change, of the winter of discontent, of the strength we each need to survive for the hope of spring.
