After devastatingly losing our baby girl, Madeleine Reese last week, half way through my pregnancy, I decided to start a new blog on Tumblr if you want to follow along.
Due to a chromosomal abnormality called Triploidy, where she had an entire extra set of chromosomes that we learned was lethal and that she could not survive, in our heartbreak, we have found ourselves in a place of facing death and saying goodbye to our daughter way too soon.
Thank you for all the love an support that we've received thus far; we've really apprciated the warm thoughts. But we ask that you please be respectful to our wishes that we do not want scripture readings, book recommendations, or other people’s interpretation of God’s will in this. It is only hurtful to us at this time. All we need to know is we are loved and thought about. We loved our baby girl very, very much from the day she was conceived, and every day of the 20 weeks that I carried her, and we miss her greatly. We are choosing to remember her in perfect form because that is how we see her soul, and in doing so, we are able to find a certain level of peace in that because we believe her soul will always be with us. We are hopeful that our next pregnancy will be perfectly normal, but for now, we are taking one day at a time and focusing on Maddy and navigating our way through the sorrow, the anger, the sadness and ultimately the joy, and peace that this whole process unfolds for us.
