OK, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about!!!! What a weird, wild, wonderful cross section of music that is the OPPOSITE of pop. The only one of these I've heard of is Richard Cheese; the rest are utterly new to me. I'm not sure which one I love the most, maybe the Sni Bong, maybe the Norwegian black metal meets bollywood, maybe Firewater. All I know is I have a slew of new anti-pop heroes now, starting with Bstrangely.
